@animal_SS70 I feel like the situation with Bubba though is Alex Bowman had that entire rain delay to pull him aside and apologize face-to-face. I'd be frustrated too if another driver wrecked me and apologized in front of the cameras and did not conjure up the wherewithal to apologize to me actually in person.

Right I was losing my shit last night seeing chase drop from 6th to 15th then came in took slicks dropped to 27th then drove back up to 14th and dropped to 21st with no explanation

I think Chase needs to be mad at Gustafson. Once again he made a mind boggling pit call with 15 minutes remainin. It took him out of a chance for a solid top 5 (and maybe a shot at a win) and put him in 33rd forcing him to drive through then field for no reason at all.

They could have stayed on wets, but a lot of guys went to slicks. Chase handled it poorly as a driver I thought on tire management too.
@@ethanweeter2732 He was only 1 of 10 cars on dry tires. I think the plan would have made sense if there was far more time left on he wasn't already in the top 10. But it wasn't going to realistically dry up fast enough to gain enough positions to be worth it. Chase actually did pretty good on the tires. He did manage to get up to 13th or the 14th from 33rd (until he got dumped on the last lap of course). No one else really moved through the field like that. I think it's unrealistic to think he was going to finish much better with 15 minutes to go. I think it's more of the frustration of it being a consistent problem with Gustafson thought. For years now it's just been weird pit decisions that have let him down.
He wouldn’t have outdrove the 48 if they stayed out, Bowman was a man on a mission slipping the rear of the car every corner tapping the wall basically. I fe watched the film Bowman probably drove the best race ever for him. Although Dover 21 was intense he had the fastest car. This time he had a top ten car and was on the wrong tire.
I was watching Elliotts onboard by chance since Larson was out of the race and Suarez totally spun him out going into the final corner because Chase bumped him slightly into turn 10 as they stacked up... what an absolute dipshit move when they were fighting for 15th place.
If Chase got him, that is normal payback. Suarez might not know it was an accident.
Stop eating Chase’s ass, he fuckin moved Saurez and then got the payback he deserved.
The problem is Chase is too nice a guy and others know he won't do anything about it. He needs to start standing up for himself. He also needs to call his crew chief out. He once again made a stupid pit call to put Chase back that far to start with.

@@karenkoe7096 Oh yeah, the Elton Sawyer revenge tour. That wasn't really him standing up for himself as much as it was him getting wrecked into him. That said yes at times he has stood up for himself during the same race, but typically once the race ends he lets it go. Guys know if they can get him and get away they have nothing to worry about.

Im a chase Elliott fan and I see nothing wrong with what happened when you schedule a race in a state that has thunderstorms almost daily in the summer then sit there for hours while they have rain tires then sign up a event that has a freakin curfew then tell the drivers you have 20 minutes left in the race cause people I. The city need to go to bed crap like this happens .this race was the most painful to watch yet . They should have next week's race in Siberia .well fans with the introduction of the ev stock car at least we know when NASCAR goes bankrupt .Dale Sr has got to be rolling over in his grave . Painful just painful to see what NASCAR has become .
@@bdanielcal4608 like 95 percent of the country has rain this time of year. Heck even Phoenix gets rain this time of year. The start time I don't get, but there really is no way around the rain. In fact I'd rather have road courses during the rain season because they can race on it more than an oval.
The start time made darkness an issue, not the curfew. And it was a darkness issue as I recall. They also could have spent little less time on puddles if they wanted too.

And it’s done and over with. I’m an Elliott fan and I was pissed when I found out Suarez turned him, but nascar posted the in-car on their Instagram today and it was 100% Elliott’s fault. Sure, maybe Elliott only bumped Suarez. But he opened himself up for retaliation and this is what he got. He sacrificed a 12th place finish to try to get a top 10, and ended up finishing 21st. So risk/reward. If he doesn’t bump Suarez, Suarez never turns him. The two clearly talked and will move on.
Why/how did he bump him? Was it because the car in front of 99 checked up? Its just a chain reaction and stupidity from 99.
And if Chase was close to 13th or so, he would have been closer to the points lead than 21st place finish got him, plus it ended that neat streak.
Chase needs to stand up for himself, get angry get passionate, stop being Mr. Nice Guy its ok to be rough around the edges. And what Saurez did was as lame as can be idc if apologized he ought to be a better driver than that. Not sure what's wrong with the 9 team maybe he needs a new crew chief on the box

This guy would not be in the playoffs if it was not for a fluke win at Atlanta. He will be lucky to drive for Trackhouse in the future.
