I just want to say that i have so much respect for you. Most doctors are not bible believing Christians from my knowledge and very few are as bold about their faith and open to teaching the word like you are. Definitely something you Dont see everyday.
“But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:11

I love the way this man makes the Word of God practical in so many aspects of human life. He speaks very calmly, convincing, and his English is (since it's not my native language, sometimes it's pretty hard to understand someone whose it is) so understandable!

What you said is generally true, however, sometimes that negative self-talk is the Holy Spirit convicting us about something in our lives. That nudge is meant to redirect us toward God, not away from Him.
