SWIZA C08 KNIFE MULTI-TOOL : Amazing Scissors : a Victorinox competitor?

- A badly sharpened knife at the exit of the (beautiful) box, it is not very serious SWIZA !
My wise advice to SWIZA:
- sharpen the knives properly,
- to systematically provide the sheath, this would be an advantage compared to Victorinox,
- to review the can opener,
- find a way to put a lanyard ring (and systematically provide the cord).
The scissors are very ingenious but their performance leaves me doubtful.
The MORE:
- big lockable knife blade,
- clever arc shape (especially for easy gripping of tools),
- very nice, very pleasant coating,
- nice packaging, it changes boxes Victorinox! :)
Attention SWIZA, as a competitor, you have not only VICTORINOX but also BÖKER PLUS and RUIKE (Fenix).
Un couteau mal aiguisé en sortie de boîte, cela n'est pas très sérieux SWIZA !
Mes conseils avisés à SWIZA :
- aiguiser correctement les couteaux,
- fournir systématiquement l'étui, cela serait un plus évidement par rapport à Victorinox,
- revoir l'ouvre-boîte,
- trouver un moyen de mettre un anneau de cordon (et fournir systématiquement le cordon).
Les ciseaux sont fort ingénieux mais leurs performances me laissent dubitatif.
Les PLUS :
- grande lame de couteau verrouillable,
- forme en arc astucieux (notamment pour la prise facilités des outils),
- très beau, revêtement très agréable,
- joli emballage, cela change des boîtes Victorinox ! :)
Attention SWIZA, comme concurrent, vous n'avez pas seulement VICTORINOX mais aussi BÖKER PLUS et RUIKE (Fenix).

I can see that you are extremely pleased with the scissors.
Swiza is definitely not a Victorinox competitor. I bought a Swiza a year ago and the quality isn't the same as that of Victorinox.. The company has been making knives for a short period of time and is still experimenting. They've quietly changed the design of the bottle opener because the bottom part of this tool would bite too deep into the bottle neck and break the glass! After I broke the third beer glass, I decided to never open a bottle with the Swiza again. If you compare a new model with an older Swiza bottle opener, you'll notice this subtle change. Also, the awl metal is so SOFT that it bends! Watch a video from TH-cam reviewer Robito Hans, where he tests the Swiza knife and makes excellent comments about it before the awl bends when drilling wood. Lastly, I just can't understand why Swiza can be even more expensive than Victorinox! If you do, please let me know.

Pour Bushcraft au nord du 60, oui le décapsuleur a été changé et depuis il fonctionne mieux. Les ciseaux sont vraiment nuls . Sinon j'aime bien le look , les plaquettes originales, la finition globale, mais pas le prix !

Interesting. I’ve had a SWIZA D08 for about a year now. I did a super simple modification to the can opener. Works great now. I did a video on it. The scissors are a bit underwhelming, but generally speaking, I like the tool. Really like the blade and the awl. I’ve field stripped a few firearms with it, too. I hope SWIZA refines it as they learn.

One good way to test scissors with paper is by fold value N. Test cut paper into first one half then stack them up lengthwise to the next cut and continue so until stacked paper jam between blades. The number of unjam cut cycles will be a record for this tool. Just make sure we have enough paper samples to last our hobby life time.
This is an example to a comment I made previously. The secondary blade angle change from 80-85 degrees into ~45 degrees. This alleviate blade to blade retention force for pocket size tool application. Where retention force to hold back material from jamming in between blades.
Can you please analyze the hole in the top (next to the tweezers) if it's possible to get a lanyard thro there.

The scissors are big, but they have a learning curve and don’t preform anywhere near as good as Victorinox scissors do in my experience. I hope they improve the design because they have a lot of potential.
Why are we not give a dam for the Phillips driver not locked opened this time as we did on other tools?
En effet,le tranchant est médiocre,c'est décevant pour le prix déboursé...j'attends justement le modèle D06 couleur mousse,qui tarde à venir d'ailleurs ;-( J'espère qu'ils auront prit plus de soin pour réaliser l'émouture...merci pour la qualité de cette vidéo dont j'adore le concept unique il me semble.....

Cher diezelle57 Je sais que SWIZA est une société constituée de salariés de WENGER, une société nouvellement née et dont le dessin est faible. Elle est aussi plus chère que VICTORINOX dans le même état. On m'a dit que mon financement était très inférieur à celui de Victor Knox: le type unique de ciseaux de ce produit est intéressant, mais sa performance est décevante. Je pense que SWIZA n’est pas encore concurrent de VICTORINOX, merci pour votre travail acharné.

We may better the shearing operation by thinking to bias our thumb to the left hand side as we apply cutting force. All low income people who can’t afford to buy new scissors or how to grind scissors will / has learn about this technique.
