Audie Murphy. Irish-American. Texan. Patriot of Patriots. Legendary Cowboy Actor. Thank you for uploading this featurette from 1955 promoting U.S. Savings Bonds and the autobiographical film, To Hell and Back. Very nice viewing, indeed.
A true American Hero, not these sports figures that people idolize today.
REST IN PEACE AUDIE MURPHY

Thanks for this great upload of Audie Murphy. I hope more and more of this present generation find Audie's films, etc and learn who this great American hero was. He was more than a hero in battle but also in life and always praised and helped the veterans, including the hospitals.
Very nicely put together. Was there ever anyone more patriotic than Audie?I have a old vcr tape of To Hell And Back in colour.Denver Pyle and Charles Drake in a few different films with Audie, must have been friends.cheers Addie.
Johnny C Of course there were people just as patriotic as Murphy! They just didn't get acknowledged.
Absolute TREASURE of an Audie Murphy "ARCANA"!
Dearest, TRUEST-Fan, Addie,
Whence cometh this Heart-Warming FEAST? --
Audie's son, Terry, Barbara Rush...

This video must be wonderful for Terry to see his Dad so alive and loving.
brave tiger
Very true.
His voice is so close to Gene Autry :)
Addie; My brother told me that Audie taught acting classes I believe at UCLA or through one of the studios. My,brother studied in two courses. Don,t know if that is true or not but I never knew my brother to lie. He said for being so nice Audie had a really short fuse and could lose his temper real quick. I don't know except what he told me.Ron
Eagleguts That is not hard to believe. He didn’t suffer bullies or smart asses.
