Thank you for clearing up the watering process on this video, basically it’s a “work in progress”to keep an eye periodically on the conditions of your plants. It’s my first time planting garlic (newbie) in zone 7 , thanks from Long Island, New York for sharing!❤ Your videos are amazing & I’m a new subscriber since early spring. Helped me get through my tomato bottom rot phase during the hot summer, I was able to revive my tomato plant & harvested healthy tomatoes by the end of the summer. God bless! 😊🙏🏾
Thanks vetgirl, you're exactly right! Just keep a eye on it and make sure to mulch. A think mulch layer really does solve most watering issues, both too much and too little! Have a great weekend!
Very wet indeed 💦 😍🧄I needed this quicky so bad Jeff... planting garlic for the first time, and I have my cloves, pretty nervous, but tomorrow’s the day , appreciate the watering tips 😘💪😎💯🧄🥰💦
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms Good morning! I’m on the central coast of California, 10a learned recently it’s an intermediate zone!🤷♀️ but today is the day! 👏suuuper stoked yesterday I planted pinto beans for my first time and today is broccoli 🥦 garlic 🧄, I appreciate your motivation! 💪😎😘🧄-Nina
I never water like you until spring and they are awesome. I use the same medium as mulch and get a mama duck nesting in my materials. This year 8 ducklings. What is your spacing and do you stagger? Also saw roots on your cloves when you planted. Some soak them prior but Ive never. Thx I'm in Sarnia Ontario Canada zone 6b
Right on Chad! Yeah, there were some roots because I did a video on NOT needing to soak the garlic......they were still good so I used them, but yeah, never soak, its a complete waste of time. I space my hardneck 4" apart, how about you? Have you already planted yours for this year?
It's clean fine straw. Straw doesn't sprout... It's hollow tubes. It's hay that sprouts and people often get the two confused, even sellers of the products!

Zone 6b, about to plant hardneck. Did it all wrong last year (1st time) and got marble sized garlic. Appreciate the timing.
Right on, you got it this time!

Well yiu should get lots of water this weekend Jeff 😮😮 typhoon is making land on the tip of the island 🏝️
Yup, time to get the rain barrels ready!! :-)
What is the mulch that I see you using? Looks like straw, or hay. How do you keep the seeds from sprouting and taking over the bed?
