No way i would buy now for big bucks professional industrial cyclon separator .. not today and not next month .. it may change if i see my neighbor get one and i get jealous but ..f... da neighbor ..i like this one better made out of buckets ! Yo 4 real !!

It was fun to watch. To empty the canister, you have to take off all the wing nuts, which over time may enlarge the holes and you lose the vacuum seal.
Also it is not practical. It is better to use toggle latches I think.

Love the fact you kept the bucket handle on it means if you need to replace it can still be used for its original purpose👍😁
Have no idea how but think the wing-nut idea needs updating to something less labour intensive.

@ around 13:36 you can see debris spinning around the vacuum canister. In the end you show a vacuum canister that is completely empty. I call this a fail. Good build and thx for sharing.

Collected a cyclone. I connected a 5 meter hose with a diameter of 22 mm. and a wild whistle appeared.Tell me how to solve this problem with whistling???

A good start, but here's a couple of suggestions. Make the cone longer, at least 1.5x the larger diameter of the cone. Get rid of the screen on the exhaust pipe - it really cuts down the the airflow. And as much as possible shorten the hose from the cyclone to the vac.

Excellent! I've watched several of these videos for building a cyclone but this is the TOPS. I was wondering, for the sake of neatness if silicone sealant would be good to use for the external sealing of joints rather than the glue gun? Glue becomes solid quickly whereas silicone sealant has adhesive properties but is liquid for several hours so that we may just neaten up the seal. Thanks mate, I'll be looking at following your excellent methods of build

@@GreenSawhola buenas noches, hice algo parecido pero hace demasiado ruido, desconecto una de las mangueras de succión y deja de hacer el ruido solo se escucha el ruido normal de la aspiradora, algún aporte para solucionar ese tema? gracias!!!

I enjoyed the well thought out plan.The quality and precision of your build. The one and only thing that bewilders me is why you did not use a metal bucket that would not collapse.
May be better a metal bucket than a plastic bucket. I had a plastic bucket and didn't want to buy a new bucket. Believe me I have been using it for a long time and I am very pleased ..

Для очистки ёмкости замучаешься откручивать эти барашки... Проще притянуть резиновым ремнем , обмотав его пару раз через конструкцию. Опыт.

Да он ещё и отверстия под барашки похоже на глаз насверлил, не выдерживая одинаковый угол, так что только в 1 положении можно будет собирать. Для любителей пазлов конструкция

i like the concept and the build, but I feel like some liquid nails or even some silicone and using a standard 5 gallon bucket with the lid for a seal would have made it way stronger and effective.

0:47 attach a drill under a table upward with my largest drill bit coming through the table. Just like show in the video, drill a large hole on the outside of the plywood for the table drill bit to cut the circle, don’t forget to use a small drill bit to drill a small hole in the center for a nail to hold it in place.

Большую крышку к ведра я не закрепил ничем. Фрейзером и конусной фрезой пдогнал так что крышка входит в ведро наполовину своей толщины, а вакуум делает своё дело обеспечивая герметичность. Да и снимать крышку можно без лишних операций!

To be more useful use s i use paper clamps to hold the big bucket . you need only 2 , because the suction do the rest .

Hi! Amazing Video! I'm a Cyclone Dust Collector Newbie even though I'm now a Senior Citizen! What point am I missing here with your DIY Superb Construction? I own a 1.5 Horsepower Genie 5 Gallon Wet n Dry Shop Vac from 1989 and it does exactly this kind of dust/debris/sawdust pickup all day long. Did you build your Dust Collector because your Shop Vac looks like it holds no moe than one gallon (even though I'm positive your Horsepower must be twice that of my New Wave Shop Vac)?
The purpose of a dust collector is to put most-like 99%- of the dust and debris into the bucket, instead of your shopvac, thereby keeping the filter cleaner longer. The cleaner you keep the filter, the longer you'll have maximum suck on the vacuum. However, as impressive as it was to watch him make this, plastic dust collectors from China can be bought on ebay for around $20.00, so this seems like a lot of work to me. Get one of those, a 5 gal bucket, some nuts and bolts and a half hour of time, and you've got one.
the point is that the dust and debri do not make it to the vacuum, and so do not clog up the filter. The dust collector is easier to clean, and collects most of the stuff vacuumed up, which makes the shop vac filter last much longer

A good attempt but seems like a somewhat clumsy and impractical solution. Awkward to empty, the glue seals will deteriorate over time, the suction will reduce as the seals are compromised. There are easier and simpler DIY solutions out there.

Маленькая поправочка . НЕ ПЫЛЬ улавливает . А просто мусор всасывает в отлельную емкость . А не в сам пылесос . А сама пыль 10000 % проходит через эту систему в пылесос и забивает фильтр . Вся эта СТСТЕМА рпботает как и обычный пылесос . До той степени пока степень засора фильтра не привысит критическую отметку .. и он пропускать не бутет воздух . И от этого эфект всасывания понизится . ПОЧЕМУ то все кто изобретает эту систему . Показывают опилки как всасывают . Дак ведь я зделал такое приспособление .. и начал шкурить стену ...-- крупные кусочки непрошли в сам пылесос .. а фильтр забился через так скажем 3 минуты . И так постоянно . И вся проблема состоит в СЛИЖКОМ частой очистки фильтра . Так что эта вся система ПРИГОДНА ТОЛЬКО К ТАЕОМУ мусору который НЕ ПЫЛИТ .
Вообще-то пригодна она и для пыли. Сделал себе такую хрень из ведра из под краски и двух канализационных уголков во время ремонта в квартире, для штробления. До этого был привезен с дачи советский пылесос с мешком - он полностью переставал сосать уже после двух метров штробы, а выбить мешок - это отдельный геморрой. С таким циклоном я проходил штробу за штробой, вообще не выбивая мешок, т.к тяга практически не менялась. Вся бетонная пыль оседала на дне ведра, а в мешок попадало от силы процентов 10 от общей массы. Это очень эффективная доработка обычного пылесоса. Но автор чересчур заморочился, всё это делается гораздо проще и быстрее.
ДА.... В РОССИИ ТЫ ОСТАЛСЯ БЕЗ РАБОТЫ. ТАКОГО ПЕРЕМУДРЕНОГО ЦИКЛОНА Я ЕЩЕ НЕ ВИДЕЛ)

Идея у автора хорошая, но вот только зачем так мучаться, если можно купить уже сразу пылесос Thomas, с ним уборка проходит быстро и качественно.
Это приблуда для стройки и ремонтно-уборочных работ. Даже если твойтомас прекрасно справляется с уборкой, экономить на фильтрах не помешает. 98%всей грязи мелко песчаной или мела с керамической крошкой собирается этим шайтан -ведром. А если ещё и в ведро сразу мешок мусорный положить,то вообще сразу мусор строительный выкинуть моментом можно. Автор показал что обычным пылесосом можно убирать при помощи шайтан-ведро без проблем. Цена этой поделки-копейки. Цена крутого пылесоса+много фильтров к нему сменных не сменных... И твой пылесос для стройки будет золотым.)))) На фильтрах можно сэкономить прилично. А обычный пылесос после 10-15 минутной уборки строительного мусора можно выкинуть на помойку.)))
Таким же методом КОНДИЦИОНЕР, ВЕДРО ХОЛ,, ВОДЫ сверху мало мощный вентилятор в Крышке в Доме свежо

I'm not convinced. You took the container off the vacuum to show how much stuff went through to the vacuum. It was empty. But I saw stuff floating around in there. So either your vacuum container wasn't empty, or particles actually made it through to the vacuum. Plus you cut the recording before you showed the vacuum container removal. Also proving to discredit your honesty.
I second Adams observation. I call it a fail too.

Vous pouvez choisir un seau robuste. Je n'ai eu aucun problème à l'utiliser.
it will only "deform" (or implode) if you keep the nozzle completely covered. if there is room for air at the nozzle, it should not be a problem :-)

Cela n'est pas réaliste puisque le système fonctionne sur le vide d'air. Si le contenant n'est pas hermétique il ne sert a rien et les copeaux vont dans l'aspirateur !
@@danav4810 je ne comprend pas votre message. Le systeme a l'air bien etanche, d'ailleurs on voit le seau se deformer lors de l'essai!
