Love Luang Prabang too! I was there 3 yrs ago and I really enjoyed my 3 days there. I would always show people the pictures that I took at the Kuangsi Waterfalls. Laos may be underdeveloped in a lot of ways compared to its neighbors Thailand and Vietnam, but it offers something different. A rustic, charming and tranquil feeling.

The reason why it looks like a European town is because of the french influence when Laos was colonized in the late 1800s to mid 1950s, hence the revolution of baguettes in Luang

Yeah we have noticed the French influence here a lot like the architecture and stuff but can't really complain about baguettes 😅
The night market is good fun but not sure that is open these days. Morning market is also very good, it should be on for sure.. Wake up before dawn for the monk procession, it is well worth it. Zurich bakery is a great place to watch the procession from while sipping on a cappuccino. Le Benneton is another outstanding bakery, amazing croissant . You can take the boat across to the other side of the Mekong to see more of Laos village life.
You guys are doing the right thing wheeling around town, you will probably find new and interesting things everyday this way.

@@TravelsonToast It is usually just before sunrise, around 6 AM. Come a little earlier if you can. It is solemn and beautiful, I am sure it will be most memorable for you
My family went to Luangphabang 8 years ago. That's my favorite city. We want to visit over there again. Get tired of wearing masks in USA. Can't go anywhere. Scare get Covid 19. You guys are so lucky. We love to watch your videos. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy.

Enjoy your time guys, it's sad because many businesses will be hit hard by the lock down but you have the chance to experience a glimpse on how Luang Prabang was 25 years ago in terms of peace and calm.
Yes it is so quiet here, we can't imagine what it was like before! But we have seen many businesses that have closed which is a shame 😔 I hope it will recover from this. Thanks for watching

Btw, everything is actually opening up, it was much more closed before. Hotels went for a longer "vacation" and are opening when season starts (sept/oct)

You need to see Pak Ou cave calls Tam ting, weather fall calls Kouangse, close to town go to Ban Phanom, go up to mountain Phousy fro 360 degrees of Luangprabang and see Sun set, Sun raise. Good luck.

Great video, I was there last year.
DON'T miss the Tad Sae waterfall. Due to lack of water in the high dry season visitors in Luang Phabang used to overlook that. Now you have guys plenty of water (google it).

a lot of tourist hardly goes to Wat Phon Phao, the one that you can see in the distance when you get up to the wat phousi.

Yep. The waterfalls. Just an FYI ‘ph’ in Lao is a ‘p’ sound and not a ‘f’ - there is a separate sound for that. It is different from Vietnamese. The high point in LP is Phou (Pu) Si not Fu Si.🤗

There are small gathering of Skateboarder in Luang Prabang and they even have their owns skateboard park but i'm not sure where is it, hope you go check it out

Best coffee shop in the world is saffron coffee and try out bouang Asian eatery , u guys have to go the kuangsi falls wanna spoil yourself there's manda de Laos check it out , I'm glad you guys are at my favorite place in the world much love from Canada and keep up the amazing content

Yes it was pretty rainy, in September too. Really there's around a week or two of a lot of rain and rest was on and off, it's not as bad as other countries since it's inland though 👍

It would be funny if countries kicked out all the TH-cam vloggers living there on a tourist visa.
Why would they do that when the vloggers contribute to the local economies.
Nicest place in Laos, I went there in 1993, when there was only one guest house in town. It's upsetting to see all the ugly concreting of the river banks, it's like an unpleasant disease.
It needs to develop and it isn't as bad as it looks. It still has a unique look.
Wow that's crazy, I can't imagine there being only one guesthouse! Some of the buildings are nice though 🙂
