alloygator - Why is my gator coming away 2021

Is your AlloyGator coming away from the wheel? Well there are 2 reason why that would happen 1) Driver error (the driver hit something) or 2) Install error (it was installed incorrectly or on a wheel and tire it shouldn't).
One of our top reasons why an Alloygator would walk is the gap at the joint area. That gap should be around 2 - 5 mm to allow the product to stretch. Other reasons could be:
The Teeth are not lined up which prevents the gator from being installed all the way.
Too much tire shine on the tires. Tire shine is notoriously slippery and sometimes there is too much and it gets in between and caused the Gator to move. Tire shine should be applied with a cloth and wiped rather than sprayed on. Here's some tips on tire shine:
