    Also thank you for this video! I’ve been wondering why my hair isn’t coloring to true color, following the color wheel to avoid bleaching and nothing has been working the way I wanted it to. I didn’t even know about the porosity!! That makes so much sense thank you for this I’ve been going crazy! 😭💜

    I know my hair is porous but I dont know if it's high or low and I have trouble doing my hair with color. I miss having jet black hair I had for years. My hair wasnt porous before. it washing out easily as like you said it absorbs it. I straighten it and it humid weather it curls back up during summer :(

    This was really informative! When I went purple the girl fried my hair with a blotchy bleach job and now several spots in my hair have broken off and also won't hold color anymore. When I recently tried to redye my hair (trying to get back to burgundy now) those porous spots are now a weird silvery color. It looks awful! Do you have any products or tips you can recommend to have the color take evenly?

    Thanks very nice explanation. If you add gold to the formula, would you put that on the newly lightened hair as well or just on the mids to ends? In other words would you make two different formulas or use the one on everything?

    Thank you Angelo that was helpful. I have a question if someone can help out: i had bleached blonde hair then went to dark brown using a orange gold colour underneath. The brown washes away in a matter of a month . Not sure what to do now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @angeloterracciano8222
      @angeloterracciano8222  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nailia Essi well, if we think about it, hair color is designed to fade. otherwise we wouldn’t have too many options for coloring. I recommend my client to come in every 4-6 weeks for root retouches and refreshing ends if need be.
      So if your fading after a month, you would most likely just need to keep up the maintenance. I’m sure the fading is due to the porosity of hair being pre lightened.

    Do you have a recommend percentage range when adding warmth to the cool formula? Maybe 20 percent

    • @angeloterracciano8222
      @angeloterracciano8222  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s all situational and could change but a good rule of thumb would be starting with 25% of your formula. 😉

    OK I have a question so the top of my head doesn’t want to take color anymore it will take it but it’s just very light and patchy and just disgusting even with dark hair dye is like purple I can’t do black hair dye because I’m allergic to black hair dye it causes my hair to fall out in big chunks Bite is there something that I can do that will help my hair to be able to take color again

    • @angeloterracciano8222
      @angeloterracciano8222  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My best suggestion is to apply to clean dry hair and make sure your using enough color. A lot of time people try to “stretch” out what they have. Typical a root retouch is 60grams color 60g developer

    What about hair that is not porous? My hair is not porous at all and takes longer to absorb and I’m contemplating coloring.

    • @angeloterracciano8222
      @angeloterracciano8222  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your hair is coarser texture and not chemically treated, you may need to be more aggressive with your developer strength depending on what target shade is.

    I tried to put pastel lavender but the hair stylist said my hair won't hold a pastel color since the bleaching level is low . After they bleached my hair it turned a lil orange shade instead of light blonde . Idk what should I really do to get the color I want ?

    • @ladyakiraa82
      @ladyakiraa82 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They didn't lift it long enough. There may be a good reason for that. It may take several sessions to get it to the level 10 you need in order to do pastels.
