- Season 4 of the last kingdom was amazing! it was jam packed and full of new amazing characters and storylines, but the one that stuck out the most for me, was Eadith. I loved her development even in such small screen time. I hope to see more of her in season 5 (along wither her and Finan)

I didn't like her at first, but she grew on me really quickly. She's good people.

I like Eadith she is a clean soul I tell you, I also like her for Finan not sure what's his taste in women but she is into him and he to her. She did well in this season.

I’m hearing Finan may have a chance to be with her but then some are saying he’ll die protecting her. This show will end for me if Finan dies. Periodt.
Sadly he will die protecting Uthred during the main battle of babemberg It's also sadly that Uthred will lose his eay and hand during this battle, in this story they like to make characters half blind.

I had my eyes on them like a hawk ever since she asked about him! And I agree it needs to be a slow burn and avoid the book story
@@jade16jj me too but i didn't notice the cape moment! i think the writers gave us enough clues to tell us they are gonna be a thing. but i honestly hope they don't use that to create problems with Uhtred and Finan, their friendship is too precious. I do hope though they use this relationship to finally explore Finan's background, because we know next to nothing about his past

I have to say she is amazing at a complex character. This show nails the right actors for theses parts. Love this show.

We see less of Sihtric and Osferth over time, they sort of go their own way, but they're still alive by the start of book 12, as far as I know, certainly by book 11.

She helped so many times in really an urgent matter. For me she was something common with Uthred. Maybe fact they both are alone and loose everything helped Aethelfled to hold power in Mercia. In episode 3 or 4 season 5 she had quick talk with Uthred about why all this. She said maybe it's destiny or their own choices. It was very wise and for me quintessence of all season. Uthred started to wonder when she said this. Her creation in this serial was for some reason.
I really like this character, I quickly got attached, and wow she is so beautiful.

A hardened resourceful survivor but also possessing a brave kind heart. I honestly thought at the start of S#4 that Eadith would be a ruthless power-hungry manipulator just like her brother but dam did she quickly surprise me & win me over as the season progressed. Also, she & Finan are so adorable together. I really hope their relationship continues to grow in S#5🤞🤞

Finan is married to one of the royal daughters the Uí Néill in Ireland. He was a prince in Ireland. He then fell in love with a dairy maid from the Ó Domhnaill clan. Once this was found out he was stripped of everything and I can remember thats how he became a slave. its been a while since I read the books..

In the books, Edith heals Uthred and in the series she saves him and his friends twice.
Yes...they have moved away from the books....but the series still flows nicely....not sure why they changed the fact that Uthred seems to have only 2 children,when in the books he has 2 boys and a girl....even in sesson 2 his wife died giving birth to the 2nd son....
@@jimmason1072 they seem to have merged the characters of Uhtred jr (disowned for becoming a priest in the books) and Osbert (later renamed Uhtred after his brother was disowned).
Jim Mason the creator said there was to many characters in season 4 for his second son but they said we could see him in future seasons
I’m on the last episode of series 4, excited to see how it all ends! I didn’t like Eadith at the start but she’s grown on me and I hope her and Finan end up together!

a very under rated character.. i liked her from the start.. she has courage and is very brave.. Esp when she was Aethelred's "mistress" .. she was always like "Nope Not getting into my Skirts" until he did.. for her fucked up brother :( but it didnt break her.. i FUCKING despised her brother Eardwulf .. I loved his execution.. Finan will be on that in series 5 for sure.. he deserves to be happy and so does she
She turned out to be a good guy after all. At first I hated her. Then she helped Uhtred and the gang out and became apart of the group. I’m glad I don’t hate her anymore.

She really is a purely good person and she definitely restored her honor. On the other hand, I lost all respect I had for Aethelflaed and I hope Uhtred finds retribution with Eadith.
As a big fan of the books, I really hope that she doesn’t end up with finan. Her relationship with Uhtred is so amazing and their conversations are always interesting like the one in the woods. 🙏🏼

The one thing that really pisses me off about this series is that every single good looking woman ends up with Uhtred. Like it's so boring, why can't any of the other guys get a look in?

um Eadith was never with Uhtred and yes they may have flirted a bit but she was highly looking upon by Finan
It's because Uhtred is as honest as they come. He isn't two faced or backed by hidden motives. He's always been upfront about what he stands for and he's always been true to himself. There's a certain charm that comes from that. Also, Eadith isn't interested in Uhtred, they didn't even flirt. She's captivated by Finan and Finan is captivated by her.

I really got pissed off with S05, I just watched half of it and didn't even complete the whole episodes.
there is no growing for the finan character or even spotlight on his past and sadly no more scenes for the Irish warrior with eadith.

They are moving along in the series so fast now....even in the latest book "spoiler alert"....Edith ( his wife) dies in a plague...and Uthred already has a new woman....they have had to tone Uthred down quite a bit...."me to"..... movement and his real character would be in conflict....😱.....also he seems to have some business remaining with the Alfreds daughter..... can't see the series lasting than 2 more seasons ....one thing for sure.... Uthred is not showing his age....he should be 40-45 now.... and that's old for this time period.....
