His accent isn't that bad lol. I remember giving an old hitchhiker a lift to Wexford in Ireland and I had to ask him to repeat everything he said twice.
My favorite quote from Finan was when Uhtred approached him in season 4 episode 1 asking to take on Bebbanburg and Finnan replied “ask me when I’m drunk” regarding killing a lot of men 😂😂😂

On the road, just as The Gang finds out about The Sickness and are trying to figure out to do next:

The pony scene always makes me laugh. Sihtric standing there with an animal half his size and young Uhtred sarcastically going "Magnificent beast".
finan is one of the great characters of the show..by far favorite
They need to do more series like the last kingdom. One of the best miniseries I’ve ever watched. Even my tweenie nephews liked it.

Grew up with Irish people. I understood everything Finan said and it just makes it so much funnier cos my friends have the same sense of humour
The scene where he compared the nun to his mother was without a doubt 100% improv. You can tell by the other actors reactions when it's scripted or natural
Great highlights but the music in the background makes it difficult to hear everything.

Even though each clip is technically the same volume from my end, they are different within the show... it's complicated. And I suppose not everyone is familiar with the Irish accent. I am thinking of adding subtitles for the next one. :-)

Uhtred and Finan, quintessential 'tough guy besties'. Perfectly portrayed by Mark Rowley in the series, and the character is just as likeable in the books. Fantastic character, period.

Read the series folks , they are even better than the Netflicks , I have read them several times over & now I'm waiting to read the last one of this series , book twelve called "War Lord " but I'm still on the " War of The Wolf" " & have have "Sword of Kings " in front of me before I get there . Keeps be amused while we are in lockdown as the virus rages around us BC is a one of the most popular writers who lives in the US , I find even in charity shops his books are rare to come across , so have to go as the warband are busy hunting down the Wolf warriors happy reading & BE SAFE
