I'm teaching a Christmas in July class at my local quilt shop. This will be the "gift" idea project. Although I am teaching and giving the directions, your video is referenced, in writing, so when they get home and forget 3 week's later they will still have instructions and measurements. This is such a fun project! My sample is in hummingbird fabric and will be a Christmas present for a friend!
Great for a cover for my Great Aunts' family Bible. Will add handles. Thank for being so thorough.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 🤗
I was about to sew a fabric cover for my Bible with a beautiful bit of Irish linen, was a bit unsure of construction and I’m so glad I found this before I got the machine out!
Thank you!
Wonderful! I am glad you found it helpful!
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I needed something quick and easy for end-of-the-year teacher gifts. I know these will be perfect and I can get them made in a couple of days. Thank you again.

You guys this is my new favourite tutorial 🙈 I always say that 🤣 but this one is a goodie!
I love it! Thank you Stacey!
I know on the outer piece and the batting you cut an inch longer and wider. But on the fold inside parts I understand an inch longer, but how do you determine the width of what will be the inside flap?
You have a nice easy way of teaching...thank you!

Late at being able to watch the video. First off, congrats Breanna on being the winner of the box! Second, these book covers could additional items to put in our donation quilt package. As I did last year, I have a bunch of stuff started to put in with my quilt(s).
Sounds awesome Maria and yes I think these could be added because they ask for notebooks 🤗

Thank you Marie 😊
I am following your tutorial trying to make a cover for a much smaller church hymn book!
Awesome Dianne, you can do it. If the book is much smaller you might want to reduce fabric allowance if they are turning out to bulky 🤗
Very nice tutorial
Many many thanks 🤩
Beautiful ❤😊
Thanks so much Maria ❤️ I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment 🤗
Looks good. You could add a ribbon bookmark and a piece of elastic for a pen
Yes absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Wonderfully explained ❤️❤️❤️ Ribbon bookmarks can be added.
Yes, definitely, what a good idea 🤗
Cool! 😊 I bet you can use this with flaps open as a catch all.
Yes great idea, I didn’t think of that 🤗
Made one of these previously and it was an awfully lot more complicated than this. Thanks for your clear precise instructions. Maran, Carrickfergus
Great to hear Maran! I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, it really helps me out 😊
I would like to make for my Grandchildren
Yes they would love them, in fun fabrics in themes they like, that's a great idea 😊
I love this! When you are sewing up the gap, can you top stitch all the way round? Thanks Stacey!
Thanks so much Valerie! Yes you could, it just might make the cover a bit snug. Maybe do a tester to make sure it will fit or add on 1/4” to the measurements.
Yes! Thank you. Where are the cutting instructions?
They are always in the description: www.stacey-lee.com/2022/04/08/fabric-book-cover-tutorial/
I'm making one for my Bible.
I love that ❤️
This is very nice, but I would do a whip stitch to finish it off. Very nice though.
Great idea!
❤
❤️
Will the batting move around if you don’t quilt the cover fabric before you add the sleeves? (Love your tutorials! I’ve already made 2)
Sorry for not replying earlier! No mine hasn't, it has been fine 😊 Thanks for watching my video!
This worked extremely well for me, although I did find side-to-side, it was a bit bigger than it needed to be... but then, I'm not the most accurate sewer either
Hi there, you can always make smaller if it is too big, by sewing next to the sewn lines 😊
