I have 17.2 (on a iPhone 14) and don't see some of the settings you're talking about (no contact key verification, no journal, no photo crop) any thoughts?

They might as well not be there since iOS 17!
I had software update 17.1.2 installed last week but so far no 17.2.1. So many of those features do not show (yet) on my Phone 14 Pro max. Presumably we will get that update in the next few weeks up here in the frozen north .....
Earlier today, I had to help my 80 year old mother with her 14 pro max haha. She read on Facebook “there was this update bug that allows someone to take all of your information”…. Eventually I figured out it was the name drop thing haha

I was just alerted by a friend about the Journaling app. If you go to settings/Privacy & Security, scroll down to Journaling Suggestions, the Discoverable By Others default setting is On which allows other to detect you are nearby to help prioritize their suggestions. I switched this setting off. I don't use the app but it seems to me to be a possible security issue.
I love the offline maps feature. I set the map app to use offline map always because it uses less power and my phone doesn’t get so hot. If I need traffic information I open google maps.

Don't worry, these features are all available on software that is still being tested. You'll get access to these features with the iOS 17.2 update, releasing late December

Does anybody know how to disable series’s new follow on mode? Where if you invoke Siri it gives you the first response and then it waits and will do a second thing second response that’s really becoming very annoying and I’d like to disable that.
That would be an excellent option, as sometimes it is great and other times it's annoying. Although at least we can can stop Siri hanging about by tapping the phone.
I have wifi issues on iphone 13 and ipad mini 6th gen. the wifi connection stops working at around 2am until 8am and i have no idea why. i didnt change any setting that could cause that. other devices (not mobile) function correctly via cable and wifi at the same time.
Is this a thing with the 15’s ? Thinking to call my Internet provider and then if no explanation will call cell provider…Wifi cuts in and out to show 5G while at home. Never noticed with iPhone 11 Pro. But then wasn’t on 5G. Have 15 Pro Max now … Wifi cutting out again happening as I’m typing this 😠 Cellular data msg pops down & so weird Not a techie person, so 🤷🏼♀️

Most of these features are available on iOS 17.2, available late December. These should be available to you when the new software releases, although a small majority of features are only available on the iPhone 15 lineup. But there are only a very very small amount that are exclusive to that series, most of the cool ones you'll still have access to

Less to no innovation, less settings and options, bad costumization setting and options... Man man man... But hey, we have a good camera (which S23 also have) and video (which S23 also have) and a great battery (which S23 also have)... The only thing that looks better on a Iphone is the Apple Carplay.. Let's update the phone and put Journal into it borrrrringggggg.. I really don't see how a Iphone 15 PM is better then the regular S23 phone lol... Yeah a big huge price gap..

Check to see if the sound you chose for your alarms is still available. If they’re no longer available, it gets switched to “None” for the sound. (It should’ve been programmed to switch it to a default sound, but we wouldn’t want that to happen, because that would make too much sense.) Pick a different sound and see if that works for you.

Most to all of these features will come with iOS 17.2 late December. As long as you have iOS 17, most of these features should be accessible to you

No download option in map is available for me on my iPhone 15 pro max also updated to 17.1.2
