I struggle with old shows I loved. I LOVED Saved by the Bell as a kid/teen. I'm 44 now and the reruns remind me of a world and time that no longer exists. Each day is a struggle not to become a statistic, and thinking back to a time when life wasn't one big burden makes me realize that today, and every day after will just be worse as we continue to age, lose our ability to do things, and we live in a society that constantly reminds us we're never going to be as good as we once were, and to step aside for people that are actually useful with good ideas. On top of that, the people that we looked up to in our childhood start dying. Parents, family friends, teachers.

He doesn't want to be typecasted as zack so that's why he always says he remembers very little of what happened on set when he's interviewed about sbtb.
I think it's just because it was his job. He wasn't invested in it for the entertainment value like the viewers were. And I say this because I was a newspaper journalist for some years and people will say, "Remember that story you wrote about such-and-such?" and I'll have zero recollection of whatever story it was probably 90% of the time. I just did my work and went home.
@TheBridget272 he just wants to distance himself from the character "zack". He remembers alright... if he was asked a question about a particular episode of sbtb, or a particular event that happened on set, then MORE questions would come his way when his purpose is actually to distance himself from his character on the show to avoid being typecast like dustin who is always known as "screech".

I remembering watching that as a kid & my jaw dropped to the floor cuz growing up with brothers you recognize a real fight when you see it. It was like legit witnessing 2 best friends at ones school going at it.
So True! It was a very realistic fight. The fact that it wasn't rehearsed, I think added to the realness. It looked like an actual struggle, instead of a rehearsed dance like most fight scenes.
Lol no he cant...wtf have you seen his face..he had plastic surgery and sorry to say but Mario Lopez had a face lift and looks fake....a man should never do it because it makes you look weird!!!
The series would have never gotten away with a fight like that early on during the whole love triangle between Zack and Slater and Kelly during the first season. Don’t forget that series first aired on a children’s Saturday morning programming block with cartoons. Something like that would have been considerably controversial at that time. When that episode premiered, NBC completely altered their Saturday morning programming block and completely abandoned children’s cartoons to feature TV programs for preadolescents. Saved By The Bell was the only TV program that survived and the producers of Saved By The Bell premiered another teen sitcom, California Dreams that year. I guess by then, that episode was a way for the producers and writers of Saved By The Bell to push the envelope a bit while keeping everything relatively self-contained and familiar, given how hugely popular the series had become. Plus, it does catch you off guard and shock you, because people had seen the friendship between Zack and Slater really evolve over the first three seasons from more like a rivalry to a genuinely close brotherly relationship.

Dude I rememb3r dying laughing the first time I saw thay fight scene. Like this is STILL going on??? Over some glasses??? Just put the damn glasses on my man!
Remember that Slater was in the movie Colors
Funny, I just re-watched this on TH-cam last week and never knew this was the case, had to look up his character....Felipe's now! Now I have to go back and find that part!
And he was in golden girls
Yeah, he was banging with Frog in the 21st Street Gang before he went to Bayside High.🔫😂😭💀
Whaaattt???? 😮
Hell yeah.😎 Just watch the ending of Colors.😏
That was a very good fight for live TV taping
Such an iconic show. I remember seeing that episode for the first time and how the audience was hooting and hollering. One of the best things about 90s TV were the live studio audiences
Mark blocked out so much of the saved by the bell years. He always is like I barely remember...
i barely remember yesterday haha
@@reactioncompilationallstars He was high.😃
Zack looks AI generated
Mario would’ve had Preppy yelling “let me go! Let me go! You don’t want me to get mad, man! LET ME Go!!! Ahhhh!!!”
As soon as Mark-Paul opened his mouth and started speaking, I flashbacked.
I miss the Zack attack rewatch podcast
How did I miss Zack and Slather throwing hands? I don't remember this at all
Me neither, but I think Slater caused me to be interested in wrestling as a kid in school
The guys were both interested in the same girl and it led to them fighting. It's also the same episode where Mr. Belding buys a hair piece.
Because you're not a true fan.
That is like the most popular from the show 😅
😂😂😂 It was crazy when it happened!!!!
That was an awesome fight. When I was young I swear that was real.
I remember watching this show everyday after school thinking i was dork for doing it. Now that im 40 i look back and think of how it was actually a good show and how much times have changed.
I remembering watching that as a kid & my jaw dropped to the floor cuz growing up with brothers you recognize a real fight when you see it. It was like legit witnessing 2 best friends at ones school going at it.
i swear that's Mac... where's Charlie?!?
he got fork-stabbed... FORK-STABBED!!
So True! It was a very realistic fight. The fact that it wasn't rehearsed, I think added to the realness. It looked like an actual struggle, instead of a rehearsed dance like most fight scenes.
Yeah. I wrestled in high school and was taught the move that brought Mark to the ground. It’s called a head throw
Huge
its called a lat throw , used mainly by greco-roman wrestlers
@@donniedoesdishes seriously you have to be that guy
@@christophereichten9005 what guy?
Chris - - you said it was called something and it wasn’t. He just told you the correct name. Don’t be a snowflake.
Still crushing on this man. He's aging like fine wine. 😍
Haven't seen Saved by the Bell since the college years...lol ***Slaps knee***
watching this in .25 speed was great thanks. also remember is the 90's when we wore clothes to school not pajamas.
Mario can still pass as a teenager.
@RichardsWorld A teenager that has a methamphetamine and fetanal habit that looks like he's in his late 40's. 😃
Lol no he cant...wtf have you seen his face..he had plastic surgery and sorry to say but Mario Lopez had a face lift and looks fake....a man should never do it because it makes you look weird!!!
Ehh not really. He could pass for maybe a 20-something….
Hello fellow teens

Fighting over Joanna Suppose to be Fighting Over Kelly Kapowski 😃
@@RocStarr913 Common Sense Doesn't need to be physical
Slater probably would have beat Zack irl back then. But now... I'm not so sure
Now he would beat him off
AC is a military trained wrestler. No way Zach hangs with that.
Yup back then Slater takes Zach with ease. Probably ends with a slam on his head
@briandprice81naw! Mark got that old man strength Mario looks like he has softened a bit
You’re both wrong! Screech would have pummeled both!
saturday mornings were great as a kid. im 44 now and miss it so bad.. cartoons, saved by the bell, califoria dreaming, and then wrestling..... after wrestling i would turn to PBS to watch Bob Ross paint....man o man i need a time machine
I remember seeing this as a kid and thinking, "Whoa, that was a legit fight. Hell yeah!"
where's the full interview?

Why does he look like gigachad Bert Kreisher? 😂😂
