  • XTool Creative Space is free software that allows you to set up and run your XTool laser and has added some great design features in its latest version (V2.0 Beta) In this video, I’ve taken a look at entering and manipulating text in XCS V2. I used the F1 canvas, but the design menus are the same for all XTool lasers.

Love the detail in all your videos. Have just finished watching my third on the Xtool Creative Space 2.0. I have the S1 40W and learning as much as I can so I can get started making things. Thank you for making such detailed videos.

Thank you! I'm happy to help. I was working on a video about the vector editing tools and blow me down, XTool just released an update so I'll have to go back and redo it- but stay tuned!

@@DarkMoonEmporium Definitely. I was just able to do a business card with graphics on aluminum using your tutorial. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this! Do you know of a way to engrave each letter individually instead of it doing the whole word at one time? I want to ununite the letters:).

If you don't want to enter text one letter at a time, you can use Outline to make a vector and then use the vector editor to make changes. The vector tools are going to be my next video, but right now I'm in the middle of a house move so it may be a while before I can get to it. I'll try to post a quick video and put the link here - th-cam.com/video/j9GuF-PJZfc/w-d-xo.html.

Great videos, I'm learning fast with these on my S1. Is it possible to select all text boxes and change the font style and text all at once?

I just tried selecting multiple text boxes and changing the font and yes, it worked! Thank you for your kind comment.

@@DarkMoonEmporium I'll give it another try. I created a pencil jig and trying to engrave the pencils Roboto font at 17pt looks good! :)

Please can you tell me how you were able to change the text from HELLO. I have tried using my left mouse button and the right one but in both cases it just put squares and rectangles around the text and I couldn't change it at all.

Just left- click anywhere on the text. You should see a blinking vertical line. Once you see that you can go ahead and edit the text. It can be a bit fiddly so keep trying.

@@DarkMoonEmporium I was left clicking on the text but there was no blinking vertical line only the squares and rectangles. I am using XCS v2 for the f1 Ultra. Maybe it is different for this machine. 😔
