This is a song about going into a hole, deciding to decorate it and stay there for 12 years. This is a song about waking up in that hole one day and realizing that it is a really nice hole but that you need to see two old friends. This is a song about what it sounds like when you finally crawl out of that hole, find those two old friends, plug some old instruments into a desk and use them to try and tell each other what it was like in that hole. This song is called "Love Changes Everything".
This album is ahead of this time but it is innovator and fresh for this days. Each instrument seems to go down different paths but at the same time they go in the same direction
LOVE YOU DIRTY 3!! We ALL do 😂 see you in BYron bay in june !!!!! Its been 25 years since i last saw you i cant wait!!!!!!!!! Sent links to all fam in melbs - they bioked a booth for the Forum!! My 19 yr old daughter (amazing violinist!!) YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! We've missed you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
Magnificent as always :) just found out about this today and ordered 4 copies of the record, 2 red vinyl and 2 regular black vinyl, 2 to keep and 2 to give away to close friends .. loved these guys since discovering them around Melbourne in 1994 when they supported touring bands like The Blues Explosion and Pavement, and played their own shows for $5 at the Espy .. true local legends but they haven't even played home since 2012 and haven't played anywhere in Australia since a special 25th anniversary gig of the band at Sydney Opera House in 2019 .. been wondering if they would ever come together again and bless us with another album after the mighty Toward The Low Sun, and now 12 years later, this is so cleansing :) can't believe they will be live here in mid June for 2 shows at Hamer Hall in the State Theatre which are possibly already sold out but I will beg borrow or steal tickets.
Added third show in Melbourne at The Forum was fucking AMAZING, on another level to the first 2 shows which were in the nice theatre on the Friday and Saturday nights, then they rolled on for another show at the more traditional band venue at the beautiful Forum and it was evident from the start that we were in for something very special, and that is exactly what we got for 3 hours. Setlist: Love Changes Everything I Love Changes Everything II Love Changes Everything III Indian Love Song Everything's Fucked I Remember A Time When Once You Used To Love Me Sea Above, Sky Below Some Summers They Drop Like Flys Authentic Celestial Music Love Changes Everything IV Love Changes Everything V Encore: Hope Deep Waters Sue's Last Ride * Bron if you see this comment please reply to me, this is John from Saturday and Sunday nights ..
This is a musical mess masquerading as the new Dirty Three release and it seems to have most people praising its ingenuity and sonic integrity. But basically it's a shit sandwich.
Just like love…some don’t get it … nor willingly …voluntarily approach an intimate proximity w/vth that which is beyond ourselves…listen to Horse Stories…
