To silence those very annoying noises while navigating menus, pop the SD card into a computer, and edit retro/setting.xml. Theres a couple entries near the bottom that mention sound effect wav files. I just set the filenames to files that don't exist. Now it is nice and quiet. TBH you could probably replace those wav files with something a little less annoying if you wanted.

Put other roms in the ROMS folder and find them in the system under Downloads. It will not emulate everything, but it's decent. Couldn't get Gorf and a few others working...
I completely forgot to show its scale. I’ll be doing a trardown video for the devs to see the internals later tonight. I’ll make sure to compare to a few other handhelds. Hopefully they can work some magic with the firmware.
I like the form factor. It's a bit thinner than the miyoo mini plus and a bit taller than the smaller miyoo mini. If we can get AmberELEC on this device, it'll be okay, but it's lacking in a lot of areas I failed to mention in the video. No brightness adjustment option, no reset button, and no L3/R3. It's really not that bad for what it can do as is, but we know there are better options for the same price or less.
I ordered a old school Casio calculator watch. I always wanted one when I was little. I'm disappointed, too. I can hardly see the numbers on the display and there is no backlight. It's one of the few that are actually branded Casio, but it's definitely a KO.

At this time I can’t exactly tell you how to restore your system but I think it would require you to flash the exact file structure to an sd card with balana etcher or raspberry pi imager. I think the best place to find an answer is the Retro Handhelds Discord. They have a section dedicated to “other handhelds” and there are a few devs who have worked on cfw for devices that came from this same company, like the D007. I’m sure somebody there could help you get it going again.
Anyone know how this holds up to the r36s? Edit: i just saw you got one on r36s, ill watch when im done with this😊 -i got th r36s, but r2 button broke pretty much instantly wich was a disappointment. Other than that its nice hh if you ha e small hands, im printing an addon gripp to fit the device to my gigant hands as we speak xD
It won't, sorry to burst your bubble but this absolutely will not run emulation station. If it was the RK3326 then yes. Doubt it even has 512mb of ram. ES needs at least a gb usually.
Yikes that selection sound is awful 😖 and i was saying the system looks ok, great review video, that game selection sound is a deal breaker for sure and the software could use some work.

For 40€ it is ok. They put more care in the packaging than anbernic/powkiddy. And the qualitty seems decent for a child.
