Sorry for the hairy leg shot. I’m rewatching this and it even made me uncomfy. Please watch the WHOLE thing and drop an emoji below on what you think the Gloria resembles… I’m going with. 🛥️

With a stock seat and belt try this - slide your seat back 3-4 inches and same with the back rest. Then put your seatbelt on and tighten the lap part. Next jerk the shoulder belt forward so it locks and then while holding the locked belt move your seat into the normal driving position. This will keep the belt tight and locked on you until its released.

Grab a luggage strap from your local luggage store and tie your rib cage to the seat back. Ghetto seat harness 😂

I think you are underrated as a content creator. You show the experience that all of us would have way better than anyone else. Keep drifting keep making content. Wish I could be out drifting with ya but I’m in a bit of an odd spot financially

My first autocross event i learned a lot. Like if you leave your back seat at home you get put in super modified. Or why a few deegrees of negative camber is important on the front wheels, so your tires dont ride too high up on the sidewall.

I never had a RWD before my BRZ tS I got last summer . I never had the chance to join a beginner drift event. I'm planning getting some OEM 17" wheels, slapping some tire on them and try to have fun. It will not be pretty at first, but it's a learning curve and I will be there to have fun and enjoying my car!

One piece of advice is to change as little on your car as possible for the first season… although not as content friendly, already getting into springrates and stuff starts muddying up your feedback loop super quickly. Some Formula D cars run no sway bars and are so soft they lift up inner wheels in drift lol. Don’t sweat the specs so much, and get everything out of what you brought so you can really parse the implications of each change. Go ahead and get the seat though my first drift car was a stock LS400 so I’ll give you that much.
Just have fun with what you have and get as much out of it as possible. You may progress 20% slower in the first year, but with really deep foundation developed in an unchanging car, learning the more advanced stuff and being able to adapt to different setups later on will happen waaaay faster.

I think you should see how it is with lil more power and proper bucket seat. then decide if the body roll is too much.

I prefer to keep all my tires connected to the road, personally.
Maybe you need a smaller turbo if you have no boosties when you need it? 🤣
Slap one of them cheapo Maxpeedingrods on there and try it out

the closest I've ever been to a drift event was an online assetto corsa lobby. i can clutch kick a lot of corners but it's pain, and I don't want to get an h pattern shifter or a hydro (they're EXPENSIVE, dawg)

What do you think a good budget towing rig for getting a crappy drift car to the track would be?

I don't think you can go wrong with any 2500 that isn't rusted to poop. That's just me though!

    • @CoyWhite

Get the cheapest thing you can find. 6 of my friends use 1500 or equivalent trucks that are beat to shit. I’ve been around them for 3 seasons and they all do about 6-7 events a season with average drives of 5hrs to the tracks.
      Don’t over complicate it 🤟

Unless your a rich and have more than one car then- Drifting is literally to expensive to do on your own so…… do it in someone else’s car with there tires, brakes, fluids, transmission and bumpers! 😂😂😂

if you want more seat time there is another track in the midwest area that is a skidpad but with a run up area. A lot of the clubFR guys drive it as well. Im sorry I cant remember the name of it, but Simba should of know it and has driven it.
