Hey guys, here's my take of the new (ish) Pagani GMT Black Bay homage. As you can tell from the title this one is far from perfect. But should you still get one? And massive thank you for 600 subs. Next giveaway unlocked at 1000 subs.

Excellent review, now I'm having second thoughts about getting it during the 11.11 Sale.
Correct me, if I'm wrong but it looks like dots on the bezel (odd number) are not perfectly round.

Here's a tip: when you set the time or the GMT hand and push the crown back in or pull it out completely, the hands have a tendency to jump, I can see it happen at around 13:28 in the video, it's making it really difficult to set the time or GMT accurately. The solution to this is to set the hands, then disengage the stem by turning the crown the other way ever so slightly, maybe half or a quarter of a millimeter, so it is moving free and not engaging any gears or wheels inside. Might take a bit of practice but it will prevent the hands from jumping when you push or pull the crown.

I Purchased the same model with coke bezel
No issues with bezel back play or alignment & insert font & colouring give a quality look & can't see any grey in the black dial. No issues with the bracelet except one slightly lose pin which I tightened while adjusting the bracelet
Watch fits well on my wrist.
Only issues are the hacking movement which kicked in when adjusting the GMT & Date. Would have preferred the option of Seiko movement but timekeeping seems very good. First accuracy test 24 hours +15 seconds & second accuracy test 16 over hours +2 seconds though that was unworn.
Lume missing on second hand but I can overlook that as for 65-80€ you get a lot of watch for your money.
Would have preferred a 42 mm watch but am more than satisfied with this my second Pagani purchase.

  • @kkiely

I have all the same issues as you. Also with mine the GMT hand moves slightly when I push the crown back in which is annoying. Takes a few attempts to get it right.

You might try disassembling as much of the bracelet around the stuck screw, unscrew it as far as it will go then heat the pin with a small torch. Alternate hot then cold in ice water. A couple of cycles may break it loose.

The dial is definitely a darker grey, not black, all of the Pagani and other brands of BB 'homages' that I own have it, because the original has it too. The difference is that this one has white text and logo, the ones with guild text/logo have way less contrast, which makes the logo etc even harder to see.... the BB chrono and the Pelagos have black dials...
I was wondering about dial color on this BB GMT though, it wasn't visible in the listing images or video, so thanks for pointing this out, also for pointing out the other, all too familiar, Pagani issues once again... I was thinking to order one, got a nice discount. but decided to watch some more reviews first and now I'm not so sure anymore...
Pagani is know for their (lack of) quality control. That's why i am reluctant to buy them, I already own a couple, the meca quartz models aren't that bad either, but then i found the Steeldive Sub homage, they pay more attention to details and quality on the front (dial, bezel, cyclops etc) and spend less on an overly luxurious clasp like PD does. Plus the SDive are about the same price, so i bought all 3 colors available and an SKX homage =) If only they would start selling a BB GMT homage at the same price point lol😜

Let’s agree, it only cost ~100USD, so cheap. Looks good if you like the Tudor BB GMT and I like the fact that you credit the look to Tudor not PD. My experience, I had some money to burn in Amazon and needed a GMT for a EU trip so I order one. First pressions out of the box, looks cool but the lug edges are sharp on the underside and setting it sucks! GMT setting is touchy and push in the crown and the hands all jump!!! This is bad! Makes me not wear it no matter how much I like the look. So I bought a BB Pepsi GMT in Geneva at 39x the price. Worth it if you can afford it, one of the best in the world. I’ll give this to my nephew.

    • @WesWatchRoom

If the screw turns, but doesn’t come out, then the treads are no good. So then just use a watch pin removal tool and press the screw out. Throw that link away and adjust and fit the bracelet to yourselves.

@@WesWatchRoom OK, that’s to bad. For my 7inch wrist I normally remove 2+2 links on the BB bracelet. So if you have roughly the same size, maybe you can remove 3 from the broken side. The broken one being in the middle of the three. Then two from the OK side and fit one of the two back on the broken side?

The only Pagani I own is their "Hulk" homage that I've owned for about 18 months. I must have been lucky as hell cos it had zero QC issues and even the Lume is really good. • @WesWatchRoom
