  • Missouri is blessed with many native fruits, but none as tasty and potentially profitable as the American Persimmon and Pawpaw. The class will discuss including persimmon and pawpaw in agroforestry and permaculture, selection of a good site for growing these trees, choosing the best cultivars, establishing orchards, growing the crop, potential challenges, harvest and post-harvest handling, and marketing the delicious fruit. The instructor is University of Missouri Extension horticulture field specialist Patrick Byers.

I just found this channel and I am enjoying the video. I live in Martinsburg, WV, and I have grown paw paws for about ten years, and just this spring I discovered native persimmon, so I am adding them to my collection of native trees. I am trying to put together a quarter-acre of land that focuses on native fruits and permaculture.

Is it normal for all tree's to be sold out ?

Wouldn't say it's normal, but sometimes it takes a few calls to local plant supply companies to find one.
