- Missouri is blessed with many native fruits, but none as tasty and potentially profitable as the American Persimmon and Pawpaw. The class will discuss including persimmon and pawpaw in agroforestry and permaculture, selection of a good site for growing these trees, choosing the best cultivars, establishing orchards, growing the crop, potential challenges, harvest and post-harvest handling, and marketing the delicious fruit. The instructor is University of Missouri Extension horticulture field specialist Patrick Byers.

I just found this channel and I am enjoying the video. I live in Martinsburg, WV, and I have grown paw paws for about ten years, and just this spring I discovered native persimmon, so I am adding them to my collection of native trees. I am trying to put together a quarter-acre of land that focuses on native fruits and permaculture.
We are so glad you're enjoying our channel and have gotten some good tips! Good luck with your persimmon and keep the growing strong! :)
Oh thank you thank you.

Im sharing this.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing! I’m a PawPaw nerd based in SW Mo. having a lot of fun getting an orchard established here
Excellent video - Thanks!
How to separate pawpaws from 5 fingers?
Is it normal for all tree's to be sold out ?
Wouldn't say it's normal, but sometimes it takes a few calls to local plant supply companies to find one.
