What I wanna know is how this will affect your current hardcore create series. Like your main power gen (furnace generators) is going to go offline, stuff will be more expensive, etc
Its going to require a lot of assessing the entire base and the first 30-40 days will likely be replacing old stuff with new stuff, but it should be fun! Plus then the second half should be for a train system going around the cave and all that cool stuff!

While furnace engines are no more, the steam boiler can more than match it even in its simple campfire form, the fuelled versions using blaze burners can produce even more power.
such joy and relief in the voice here at the end. Looking forward to the 400-500 days in Minecraft Create. Though I expect this time that you go a little more on the surface, considering that it will be easier to build in the open. A personal request of mine in case you do end up using trains extensively, make a mini-base out of it, so if you traveled thousand of blocks you can deconstruct it and sleep in the bed you will have put on it. P.S.: Train + Portal = DARK MAGIC
Definitely, they do a really good job making everything feel polished and seamless with the base game. It seems exactly like what the actual devs would do had they taken MC in a more factory-building direction.
I like how this doesn't invalidate the minecarts. So now, for more complex and large builds, you have a smoother and less clunky option whilst the minecarts can be relegated to more utilitarian roles like mining, harvesting, or basic transport.
@@zaktech7816 Some people still integrate vanilla mechanics playing modded. And I just can't get the image of trying to fit a train through a 1 block tall gap out my mind.
@@jamestedjo3736 the best part is, the trains have similar, if not identical collision mechanics as minecart contraptions when it comes to the world. Train-Train collision is a different story though.
just as a personal thing, I think it would be neat for the trains to actually be steam powered, possibly with the addition of a horizontally placed boiler to match, and a potential need to keep the locomotive stoked while running. also, they can use portals.

I'm both glad that there's super amazing trains in the game, and also sad that I spent hours building a railroad using minecarts and custom built tracks only for it to become obsolete compared to these insane rails.

I was really wondering how long it would take for you to check this update out and i gotta say, that was fast. The create team never ceases to amaze me. I can't wait to see how you're going to fit the new features on the 100 days series, some things will need to be changed on your base, like the furnace engine power plant will totally break (but still the new steam engines are a lot cooler), and the dripstone lava generator is now completely obsolete since you can just pass the trains right through a nether portal and make a lava pumping station from there. Since you're by far the most creative create player i know, i can already foresee a ton of really cool builds coming up. (Pro tip, you can attach a steam whistle to the train and make it go choo choo)
It's funny you say "it doesn't even look like minecraft any more". I posted on the trailer for it to, but I honestly feel like Create is doing to minecraft mods, what industrialcraft did to the vanilla game way back in the day. The sense of change and wonder I feel when looking at the create mod is exactly the same as I felt back then, and it really is in every sense of the term a game changer.

Imagine waiting years for RealTrainMod to be just not broken enough to get a decent automated realistic train system and Create does almost everything you could possibly want in a few months

At first glance I wasn't too convinced about the new rails curves but, there's no way I'm going back to the wavy zig-zag og rail system, now I'm completely in love with the update 🥰
I would love seeing you build BIG farms in your next survival series and making a huge automatic survival system: auto harvesting, auto collection, auto transportation and auto sorting.
Looks like Create train system was majorly inspured by Factorio, which means people gonna get stuck with train signals and cross sections. Great opportunity to make a tutorial ASAP

Would love to see you try and build a Stanier Class 5 "Black 5" 4-6-0 Tender Engine like Henry from Thomas the Tank Engine and some of the Rolling Stock from the Series as well with Create! Also, maybe try Building a Shunting Yard for the Different types of Rolling Stock (7-Plank Trucks, 4 Wheeled and Bogie Wheeled Vans, 8 Ton and 12 Ton Vans, Tanker Trucks and even 16 and 20 Ton Brake Vans) to be Assembled for the Train.
Given that each block is around 1 meter wide, I'd estimate the new tracks to be around 1.6 meters across, which makes them as wide as the biggest trains in real life. So that's bonkers
I'm a little bit sad that you can't use more than 2 bogeys per train... I think it would be a good idea to add cosmetic bogeys, so I can make that long boy locomotive...
You can do that. If you place more than one bogey, you can connect up to two together with blocks into one carriage or you can leave as many of them as you want disconnected and have the train fill in a bendy connector so the train can go around turns. Congrats on reaching 100k subs dude... I'll say this for the 6th time (i think this is the 6th time), you are the most underrated MC TH-camr and to this day, I'm still surprised you still haven't reached 500k since the Thermal Expansion/IC2 playthrough which was high quality btw.
you get "glitched out" of the train if you are flyin, when just standing normally it should work fine, at least thats how it was in the previous create version

You can make a lava ,,generator" using trains that go to the nether and take lava using fluid tanks and portable fluid interfaces

I believe you can put the superglue in your offhand while building the train and it will auto glue everything together.

Create mod is just so cool, to be honest, it does still look like minecraft, that’s how good it looks
Fun Fact: use F3 while wearing googles to see the stuff like: connections to cogs and gears, errors and speed, etc.

If you hold the glue in your offhand when you place blocks they're automatically glued together.
instead of gluing afterwards, build the train with glue in your offhand, and it will glue automatically
