Thanks! I have a small area on it that needs some touch up but otherwise its been an amazing addition to the room! The snakes love the opportunity to just explore. I am glad that I actually built it.
Heyy Jack! I gotta pick your brain 🧠 about another Python 🐍 Species that I more recently stumbled upon!! What do you know about Blood Pythons 🩸🐍?? Do you own any? Maybe a great video topic in the future?? 🤔 they look amazing to me! 🤩 -J. A-K&A
I personally don’t own a blood but my best friend does. Feel free to message me anytime. I could do a video on them but it wouldn’t be from an owners perspective
@@joshuamathews3639 Funny you should mention that as I have something in the works with one of the educators that I work with who also has a few bloods, that I have something planned with for just this !
Giday mate, i don't want to sound like an ass, but it's pronounced Bred-lie and spelt Bredli. They we're discovered by Rob Bredls' father in the early 80's. Rob Bredls' does documentaries under the name The Barefoot Bushman. Back in the 90's i had two females that got to about 3 meters long in about ten years. Used to take mine to schools from discussing biodiversity. From an aussie, well done mate, loved it.
This has been my dream snake since I first laid eyes on them. I've done a lot of research on them, and I wanted your opinion. I follow Lori Torrini's channel and she uses a lot of different enclosure types for her Bredl's ranging from hantchongs to adults, one being something you would keep rodents or a ferret in provided they wouldn't be able to fit through the grates on the walls . Given how their humidity requirements aren't like their carpet cousins, can I use something like this? My ambient humidity stays about 50%.
This is a great question! Personally I suggest PVC enclosures as they do still have the heat requirements to have a good hotspot that gets to be around 90° so that they can self regulate for digestion and such. But with that being said, you could always create something that is hybrid offering a zone that is enclosed to this higher heat zone that can also have slightly higher humidity while also offering a larger enclosed area that they can move around in your inquiring about. The final enclosures that I plan on having for my pair will be approximately 30 inches wide by 24 inches deep 5 to 6 feet tall as they will take advantage of the climbing space!
@@mirkrovi the Dubia enclosures would be perfect for this particular species. I would still use a radiant heat panel on the top and foil over most of the upper surface. A 4’ x 2’ enclosure should be enough, especially if yours is a male. if you have a female, you may want to look at a 4 foot tall enclosure as they do get a little bit bigger
thanks for making this video! I’ve been rewatching a lot of bredli videos because of the lack of content on them. I’m getting one soon and am very excited. I feel like these pythons are great alternatives if not better than boas.
Dude the background looks great!! And camera quality/lighting great upgrade to your set up.

Yay! Super excited! Can’t wait!
Seems like great minds do truly think alike!
I just picked up a male Bredli two days ago. Great vid! Very helpful 😊
Stone wash Bredli python or Dominican red boa. Which should I get.
My vote is Bredli but either is a good choice
I reeeally wanna get a snake one day, and the species I want more than any other is a bredli. They're sooo cool
I agree they’re a great species to work with

@@Pythonaddiction I really like PVC enclosures, and I found a great one from Dubia that is 48x24x48. Do you think that would that be a suitable size?

Glad you found this helpful
The channel Lori Torrini has tons of great bredli content
Hey are you planning to breed your bredls?
Oops… hadn’t gotten to that part of the video yet. I’m not too far away (Rochester), so I’ll reach out in a few years.
Yeah they’re still a bit young so it will be a few years
