@@Mandalorian_Goblinslayer ehh, while her dad is more interested in Kouichirou since he is more ahead than Asuna, it is still nice to see him have some sort of relationship with his daughter but he still forces tradition on her and puts business first. He was the one who wanted to adopt Sugou through Asuna as her husband. Shouzou is def not a family person XD

Asuna's mother has the kind of parenting style that creates wild college students. They are so happy to be away from the parent's overbearing and condescending nature. They let loose too much. Thankfully her brother is their to actually encourage and lets her be a teenager

I'd say it's probably because she does not want Asuna to end up poor like her mother was as a child. Asuna in season 2 at one point mentioned that her mother was not happy to have been born in a poor family.

She loved her parents (so does Asuna) but viewed it as a burden, almost shameful because they couldn't bring her the kind of life from the riches. Also he looked down on Kirito for the same reason, because his "adopted" family is poor (she did a full background check like someone does a credit check). Kirito should be commended for saving a lot of lives stuck in SAO, including her own daughter.

Just the average Asian Family Household. Tiger Parents wanting more out of their children, even if the children is already doing the best they can. The boy usually gets the brunt of the conflict, but because Asuna was stuck in SAO for 2 years and had that arranged marriage problem, they wanted to swamp her and so call, *"get back into reality"* That's basically why Asuna told her mother to check what *her* reality was. Her father is so called "supportive" because he was at fault with the arranged marriage. Idk about her brother, but I think he's good enough.
In her father's defense, he didn't know that man had nefarious plans. He didn't even know that Noboyuki was using his company as a front for his unethical experiments, nor the fact that his own daughter was one of the guinea pigs. If he had, he would've struggled Noboyuki himself. Plus, the arranged marriage was the mom's idea. Also, the father does want what's best for his kids but not on the level of his wife.
I never liked her mom to begin with any parents should raise their children with discipline but she takes it too far. Not to mention arranged marriage she tried to deny Asuna the right to be with the man she loved and saved her life that's just UNGRATEFUL AS IT GETS.

Welcome to Asian parenting because 90% are always strict and won't wipe your tears when you get hurt. This mom is one of the few most stricter ones because she was raised in a poor family and she worked damn hard to become successful woman because she always hated to be born poor and she forgot her dear parents until Asuna brought it back to her in Season 2.

Sorry to hear that. However, you're right. Besides she really needs to think it through. If she transfers Asuna to that other school, not getting good grades will be the least of Kyouko's worries. Asuna is an SAO Survivor. The other students will bully, torment and ostracized her about it. They won't care if she may have killed people in SAO just to survive or not. That's why the government made that Survivor School. To help them cope with their experiences being trapped the game and help them catch up with their grades while doing it. It ain't perfect but it's better than nothing. So Kyouko, do want Asuna to stay in that school where everyone is on the same boat as her so she can get good grades and stay mentally healthy? Or do you want to transfer her to a normal school where people will toy with her trauma and have her grades drop dramatically because of it? Her grades AND mental health are both important. So you better choose wisely.
