Flying the Prototype Gyroo gyrocopter designed by Richard Harris and soon to be a free plan in the RCM&E magazine. www.modelflyin...
Typical Manchester skyline dull and cloudy and due to the flight line and sun I am recording in the models shadow, so not great footage.
On checking the battery it was down to 30% not enough reserve to power up or I Powered up the motor too quick .
I don't feel so bad as I seen Richard do exactly the same thing on his Gyroo and it was a easy fix.

Excellent design, nice flight and the landing was a testament to durability. Thanks Stephen

Glad to see no serious damage done. That was an unfortunate blip when it was all going so smoothly 👍

The fault was mine not keeping the speed up on the landing approach.
This model was designed with replaceable parts in mind.
      Cheers

What do you think actually happened Stephen ... from a learning perspective for me?

Hi Cliff, Well what I think I did was to bleed off my air speed too soon and too high without establishing the true wind direction this in turn caused my head speed to reduce causing the blades to stall out, seen in the classic roll/ dive to the left.😨
