Restricting the pathfinding could also be a good idea for your frames with the giant amount of dupes you have. Maybe only 1 floor per dupe dorm

Most artifacts are HUGE decor bombs after being analyzed, I'd recommend putting them in often visited areas/areas where dupes spend a lot of time in

That moment when you're explaining the flashes and one flash just happens, and you almost can't contain a laugh was awesome, lol
Hehe i was very happy it happened while i made the voice over it was just timed so awesome.
The only thing you didn't say on the math part is that you're using 24 generators; since they shoot at 0.3 bolts/second (or 1 bolt every 3 seconds), you're shooting 8 bolts/second (size 500!), so it should have taken you fewer than 1.8hs to break the 1st wall (well, lag surely made it longer)
And they're reaching the 2nd wall with 480 left??? Yeah, Neutronium is cardboard, hahhaha

Have you considered giving your prisoner dupes snazzy suits? I believe the decor bonus from the individual suit stacks and will help with all the negative decor as you stack dupes.
I do. Somewhere in the Vid i think i mentioned i want to give them the red suits (snazzy plus bonus). Because the red shirts in star trek are the first to perish. Hence the reference ;D
But thanks for the reminder it has been i while i played the colony.
It was a good choice to duplicate salt water instead of polluted water. If you were to clean polluted water without boiling it, you would consume a LOT of sand for filtering, while for salt water, it is sand *positive*, because you get salt out of the deal, which then you can crush to get free sand and table salt for a lil' more morale!
I though wasting sand on filtration would be wasteful. The manual labour for the desalinator was worth it for the extra material at least that is what i thought.
@@Luma_plays There's a mod that lets an autosweeper pull the salt out of the desalinator.

For this lets play i don't use game changing mods only stuff like no notification sounds and of course the snipping tool.
We use enough game breaking exploits here ;D

If you use sample from the debug menu it can show how much mass a neutronium tile has. It does some weird rounding.
Hey tuxii, just tried it out since i haven't so far. Thanks for pointing that out.
But even with "sample" you can't select the border tiles.
@@Luma_plays aren't the border tiles the same mass with the neutronium tiles you can find around the map edges? I have a feeling they were the same...

He build 2 identical radbolt shooting devices and aimed 1 at the border and 1 at a 10t tile. both were desteoyed at the same time
great video. I can't manage all that. My limit is like 16 dupes
ethanol is a fantastic liquid for infinite food storage.
a lower thermal conductivity than naphtha and doesn't freeze on till -110, so you can crank the storage to -200.
Doesnt stack as well an naphtha but my food stays frozen all the way to the tree.
Oh i never though ethanols thermal conductivity is low as well. Wasn't on my radar.
I will check it out
i also try to keep it above c02 freeting temp. Not that we freeze the co2 to a liquid and it ruins the storage
@@Luma_plays very little chill escapes past the ethanol given its small mass & low thermal conductivity. I know this because my kitchen room is full of chlorine. but if you are concerned you can leave one space and place a temp shift plate on the hot side.
The extreme cold also kills germs on the food really quickly.
@@Luma_plays also the ethanol is usually only half as cold as the cold side. try it out , you'll see for yourself

Could you build a liquid duping system using liquid oxygen and hydrogen? that'd be a very interesting way to supply Oxy. Then warm it back up in the dupe containment area?
As far as i know and i checked the numbers to be sure those are the freezing and liquifying temperatures of Hydrogen and Oxygen
-252.15 °C → Liquid Hydrogen
-182.96 °C → Liquid Oxygen; -218.79 °C → Solid Oxygen
They do not overlap in their temperatures.
Meaning if you try to stack them one will either freeze or turn to gas.
So when the games walls are broken could u use conveyor rails, liquid pipes and gas pipes to move stuff from planet to planet?

normally hydrogen since natural gas only ever comes in those tiny amounts. not enough for my bases.
But with a sour gas boiler i think natural gas would be nicer

Those are part of the new vanilla skins system. Some building will get a optional look. i still have mine from the last update. not sure when you can get new ones

at 31 min and 57 sec there is ear pirsing sound i think you shut cut out just letting you know
Thanks for pointing out. I did know of that one since i had a small target audience check the sounds. But after upload I can only: either delete that part completely or add music over it. Sadly can't just cut the sound there. hence i left it like it is.

Hey, hey, no change since the last update.
Which plant did you try to have the pip plant?
You basically only need a pip and a naturaltile that covers a planting pot.
If the pip won't plant check the pip planting rules online (pips are special and only plant when there aren't to much other plants -even decor plants- near).

I got mine from the update not sure if they remove them again before fully publishing them or if they already have.
