    Stumbled upon this video and I'd like to add that being that Sandy Point beach barely has corals close to the Shore and is mainly sandy, the depth of the water can be deceiving, you can walk maybe 10ft. off shore and be 20ft. under water lol...as opposed to say Cane Bay where you can walk 100ft. from shore and be maybe waist deep
    I've been to almost all of these beaches being that I was born and raised on St. Croix, except maybe to hoity toity ones in the East 😂, and there's maybe 2 or 3 that you missed but it's no big deal

    We just returned from Exuma and loved your video. St Croix was recommended to us. How would you compare the two islands?

      Thanks so much! Both islands are absolutely amazing. I liked the Exumas a little better, but they are both amazing.

    Jordan, Nice video. I lived on St Croix for 8 years on Rainbow Beach just North of what used to be called Rainbow Beach Club. Back then it was a nice quite place but now run over with tourist.

    Shoy's Beach suffered a lot of erosion. Waves are rough, water is murky & as you enter the water the ground is concrete slab which was laid there to prevent further erosion. Distance from shore to mangroves is uphill & shorter than before. Also lots of biting flies there.

    • @vg4472
      @vg4472 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, when I was there in 11/21 the beach was littered with Sargassum Seaweed how could I forget having to scrape myself a spot to lay the towel down!

    Is there a beach shallow for kids and close to hotels

    • @JordanOutside
      @JordanOutside  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Your best bet is probably Mermaid Beach. It was pretty calm and right by a hotel. th-cam.com/video/k2h9HFUHJNc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bX1e99kccwWf-RpJ

    • @JordanOutside
      @JordanOutside  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have to take a boat to get there, but Buck Island had the softest sand with no rocks.

      Protestant Cay is a great sandy beach with great snorkeling. It has Hotel on the Cay there and you get there from the boardwalk in Christiansted.

    I lived 5 minutes from Ha' Penny (that's how it's spelled) and an interesting "story" as to how it got it's name. I hope it's changed but there used to be a HUGE pile of trash right near where you would park. Shoy's was always my favorite. Sandy Point was really nice but on the opposite end of the island from me. You hit pretty much all of them. The "problem" with several of them is the rocky ground...especially once you get INTO the water. Jacks and Isaac's were really nice but quite a hike...especially if you have umbrellas, coolers full of beer, etc.

      The hike to Isaac's Bay Beach is only 0.5 miles. It took us 10 to 15 minutes. Hope that helps 😀

    1. do you have any videos about immigrating to Saint Croix Island as a woman alone to live here? Safty for women?
    2 also do you have any videos about bad things about living in Saint Croix Island?
    3. I am not a wealthy person I am on an extremely tight budget, any videos about living in Saint Croix Island on a poor budget?
    thanks

      Good afternoon, if you are an American citizen which it looks like you are from your profile name, you don't immigrate to the USVI. We are part of the US, It's a US territory. Everything is the same down here as the mainland. Except we drive on the left and don't vote for president. We even have a Kmart 😁 If you have questions I'd be glad to answer for you

    What about the sargassum invasion on st Croix?

    • @JordanOutside

    • @cruzanconfusion8359

      @@JordanOutside The sargassum in mostly an eastside problem during certain months but volunteers try to remove what they can. Between Ziggy's gas station and the St Croix Yacht club is usually one of the worst areas. These beaches are great but there are other beaches that are great too but the locals only know where they are. :)
