    I have a tip for you Kenneth.. to remove the plastic sheet from your PE with no damage, simply lay the sheet in VERY hot water and it will fall off.

    Never heard of them either but all kits should be like this saving the hassle of sourcing upgrade sets.
    Really nice kit!

    I'm waiting and hoping for 3 ships. South Dakota, Washington, and Oklahoma. It's a nice kit. I hope you let your imagination go wild and come up with a nice camouflage for the ship

      Deviating from Measure 22 Will?? Now that is crazy 😳😂 Of course no one can say that it is wrong. I like the idea Will. Let’s see if you will get your wishes come true. It has been quite slow lately with new good model releases.

    Very interesting ..loving this
    A new standard.. kit manufactures should take notice of this format ..the all in one box approach.Would help drive prices down .
    I don't have the time to constantly source different parts
    Loved the manual also .
    Great video ...

      Thanks Anthony! I hope they would take notice, but I am not holding my breath ;-) Everything they include and the quality of detail is far beyond any other kit I have seen before, and as you say, less time spent on sourcing replacement parts. The best thing is that you also avoid removing a lot of plastic before adding PE, which in my book is the least exciting part of building.

    Very nice, never heard of them. Took a look on the site, the 1/350 Missouri looks very tempting.

    • @NorwegianModellingBench
      @NorwegianModellingBench  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neither had I, and their selection is limited. The quality seems very good. I agree it is tempting, but since I already have BB-63 in my stash I went for the Montana.

      The kit is really nice Travis. That might be an option, never thought of it, don't you just end up with a goop of plastic?

    • @traviswilliams8050
      @traviswilliams8050 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Norwegian Modelling Bench it's not as bad as you think I'll wipe it a few times using a cotton swab lacquer one tip and using the dry end to pick up the melted plastic.

    I had bought the Very Fire 1/350 Missouri a few years ago and was getting ready to buy all the detail sets I could find for it. Then I came across an online article on the new JoyYard Missouri with all the included details - just like your Montana.
    I ordered the Missouri and once it arrived, I sold the Very Fire. It's on my list to start later this year.
    I look forward to your excellent work on your Montana!

      It is hard finding a kit that can compare I think, when you compare what you get for the price and quality of the kit. Really mind blowing if you ask me. Thanks Bill, I look forward to this one as well 😀

    I agree that watching unboxing videos is a great way of researching the kits. Thank you for doing this one. I just picked up their Missouri (after watching a couple of unboxing videos on the kit 😃) and am very happy with it. I just hope I can do her justice. There are a lot of VERY small pieces, both in photo-etch and in plastic.
    Take care,
    Chris

    hi, i am building the missouri uss 1/350 joy yard, i think it is the best kit ever, not only for the awesome details and all the photoetched, but also because everything is already prepared for the details so that you do not have to remove parts to be replaced by PE, everything is already ready, this way there will be less work for you, but it is definitely not a kit for beginners.

    • @NorwegianModellingBench
      @NorwegianModellingBench  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Great to hear about your experiences 👍 Your point about the kit already being prepared for the PE is a really good one. It seems like a very good kit, looking forward to seeing if the fit is as good as it looks like. And yes this is not a beginner kit for sure, another good point from you. Thanks!

    What a gorgeous kit and from a company I never heard of! A bit pricy and would never pass the WAF test (Wife Acceptance Factor)…

    • @NorwegianModellingBench
      @NorwegianModellingBench  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I first heard about it a month ago, and I couldn’t resist buying it. If you look at what you get it isn’t bad at all, but of course the wife might not agree. Better not say then 😉

    Great value for money and lots of detail 😮I'm still building the titanic and so far spent £800 on the model and ka sets etc .dare I ask the price of your kit .

    • @NorwegianModellingBench
      @NorwegianModellingBench  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is great value for money, a complete kit of this quality and detail would often be double the price if you need extra kits. The kit was $499 including FedEx shipping to my doorstep. I can tell you that I have spent more than double on my Titanic (don’t tell my wife 😉).

    IHi Kenneth, I have been trying to get the missouri from Joy Yard and have been on the website where you got this montana from but looking on how many they had and everywhere else was sold out, i wasn't sure if it was too good to be true but looking at how long it took to get you montana i think i might just get a missouri now.

    • @NorwegianModellingBench
      @NorwegianModellingBench  ปีที่แล้ว +1
