Sandy, just having you filming is great. But take it from someone who does this stuff. Having you asking and grabbing stuff as a mechanic is working is madding to me. 😂😂
Love the way that mechanic hit the fairing with the wrench when he was doing that last final torque. I always get nervous when I take my bike in that its gonna come back scratched. Didn't know u had to go thru all that to put some risers on. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, given how you're trying to improve your ST ride, I'm surprised you didn't put in the Power Clutch from Meuller - especially as you've removed the whole clutch cable. BTW. When I had my ST, I had the same set of riser and the twisting annoyed me. At 182cm tall and 9.5 inches with the factory bar, I felt the height of the whole set-up was at the limit of comfort - for hard riding the set-up was a bit too high. As I changed the machine to an RG 24, I went with a Kraus 8 inch Riser and VTWIN ODI handlebars - no riser twisting 😉. Have a great day!
you should always put upgraded bushings in when increasing the bar height since you now have way more leverage and those stock rubber ones will break down fast. you'll notice a lot of wobble by next season, minimum of urethane ones, solid would be overkill but some people prefer it.
This is great- thank you. I am wondering why you decided not to take to a Harley dealer to do the install? Just wondering if there are pros and cons vs an independent shop. Thanks.
Nice video! When are you going to make a video of those custom dynamics filler lights in your vents? They look sick!! I also want those for my low rider ST, but they're sold out atm. Gr AJ
Hey great video! Noticed at the end of the install your riser/top tree alignment must have been crooked and the installer muscled the bars to move the riser on the bushings. Then it looks like he really torqued them down super tight. Have you had issues with them coming out of alignment still? I notice from time to time my bars are out of whack and I have to muscle them back into alignment. I ended up swapping to poly bushings and it still does it even with poly bushings. Solids on my dyna gave a lot of vibrations through the bars that I don’t want on my ST. What has been your experience so far?
Love the channel!! Running Thrashin 6.5 + 1 in block riser with the high bend bars. Great setup. What’s the old school open face helmet? I need one for the summer. Thanks keep the content coming! Mike from Alabama.
Do u need to change cables and wires on a road glide setup for thrashin setup? Whats the biggest difference that you notice from what u had? Appreciate your vids stay safe brutha
Thrashin makes some good stuff!😊 including those gloves you were wearing😁 always upgrade the bushings. Did you order those Carbon Fiber HG from Amazon? Price?
@@DaddyWarbucks713 Swapping to forward controls effectively neuters the ground clearance. A proper seat and set of taller risers (8"-10") got me comfortable without sacrificing the ability to really push the ST in sweeping turns. I went a step further so I could push a little more speed through turns by lifting the rear 3/4ths of an inch with an Ohlins HD rear shock from Big Bear Performance. Dialed the front end with their 29mm +2" cartridges.
Hello Sandy, just a question about the new Bassani exhaust, Is it much louder than the sawicki or about the same, how does it compare to the tab slip ons? love your build the bike looks fantastic!!!!
Hi! I have seen your risers progression. Don't you think that maybe a mini ape handlebar with the original risers or 8" risers that I've got in my bike would have given the same result or even a much more comfortable riding position? 🤔 For example, the apes that came stock with the 2023 Road Glide ST... This bike is designed for people with short legs and long arms 😅
The biggest issue with apes is the amount of leverage exerted on the top clamp by a long one inch piece of pipe. Also, it's nearly impossible to get the gauge into your line of sight. T-bars, or risers and bars, are a much better option for more control, less flexing, and keeping the setup tighter and also, providing more adjustability. The great thing about t-bars is how tight they are. The suck thing is adjusting them, as they don't really move at all. What you got is what you got. So, risers and bars is the next best thing,. and are much easier to install, make minor adjustments, and swap if necessary.
I love it, but if we're being real, complete waste to buy a low rider ST. You have essentially made a road glide. Easier to just buy that. Whether paid or sponsored, the cost is far above what a road glide goes for, and you get more features from the road glide. Unless you ABSOLUTELY Hate the Shark Fairing vs the ST fairing.
As someone who came off the touring frame and onto an ST, your opinion is a little off and I don’t think you’ve ridden both bikes. Very different feel. Regardless of what he has changed or added to the bike, the general feel is very different.
@@captainobvious5349 I think it is ironic that your name is captain obvious because I am replying to the original commenter, not the individual who posted the video. I thought the same - A year ago and bought the cheap version. A year later I swapped to the premium version. You get what you pay for ! And these are made in the USA 🇺🇸. I’ve seen with my own eyes

Love how you put pictures before and after and stock bars! Great video. Nice bars.
As we get older, its a blend of style & comfort.. ya i want these bars rolled back a bit..save my back > style points . Looks great bruvvah

The bars look great ride safe and enjoy
Hi, thanks for a great video. Can I ask, at 17:24, what is the tool being used to clean the threads of old loctite? Thanks.
An Amazon purchased tool just look up- “thread cleaner”
I did the same set up but I used a mid-bend… after putting some 3k miles I now think I want the high-bend bars
The perfect kung fu/ Thai chi fighting position. I’m sold.
😂
Just road one with a 131 and pegs, man those Floor boards look way better!
Nice, same place MK87 goes too. Small world.
The new bars are going to make a huge difference for your comfort.. plus they look more BA 😉
Your height & turn signals on hand guards?
Hi Sandy. Well I don't know how it feels but it sure looks nice and comfy.
Do your extension cables for the instrument and speedometer was a part of the Black Pearl package?

Can you make a video about the cable management they did? I just did this exact install and the brake and clutch cable seem so long
Yes the cables did turn out slightly too long I ran them under my handlebar bag

I'm 42 and 6' 2"... wouldn't get rid of the mids on my FXLRST for anything.
I’m 26 and 6’2” and just got rid of mine. To each their own

No . Not this time

Not louder - same as the Sawicki. Both are louder than the Tab slip ons
How much for the risers that you are selling?
My question, watching all of the modifications you have done to your bike; did you save any money over buying a bagger?
I don’t know. That was never my concern. I sold my bagger and bought this bike

Frame is completely different. The fact that it looks like a small road glide doesn’t mean it is . Ride them both back to back and then you will see
