That "surprised Pikachu face, Korone Edition". At this rate or no matter what Korone will do even after she clears the Friendly Monsters side quests, she won't be able to defeat Ozma. @@machinronii Doomsday is at least elemental and therefore exploitable. The other two aren't, and to add insult to injury Ozma's version of Meteor never fades into a Miss unlike Vivi's.
Ozma's AI is completely different to every other enemy in the game. It has two sets of attacks that alternate depending on its turn count (odd vs even), and will only conditionally use some of its attacks depending on if the whole party is immune/absorbs or if the party is affected by reflect. If the player inputs a command (attack, cast 'Flare', etc) while Ozma's ATB is filling up, it's ATB will immediately fill and it will get it's turn before the party. It's for this reason that the best time to input commands is during Ozma's casting animation, since it's ATB will not have reset yet. Of course, a newbie will never know about this unless they've read about it before hand. There's also other unique elements to its battle script which can be found online. Probably the most sadistic thing about this boss is that it's hardest steal is one of the only three(?) Pumice Piece's in the game. I don't think I've ever stolen it before lol.
And the funny thing about it is that because of the way the game's statistics play out, Ozma only has about 65k HP to his name (I believe it's 256^2, or 65,536), and it is very possible to be dealing 9999 damage by the time you can fight him if you put the effort in. Rule number one when getting an airship: Explore the whole world in that Final Fantasy universe.
@@赤ゲキ to be fair, if you explore every nook and cranny you won't make the excal2 timer
@@benjaminrosiek5007
Except in the Steam version where you can reset the timer.
Lasted longer than I would have expcted.
@4:20 her amount of Gil is really nice :))
Two minutes and a half... Well, for an (extremely) unprepared first attempt it wasn't THAT bad actually xD
I've been avoiding her ff9 stuff so I can play it without spoilers, but even I know about this monstrosity. I gotta see this
You have... never played Final Fantasy IX for roughly 20 years?
You could not afford video games and consoles at the time?
Or it is because you did not have interest in the Final Fantasy franchise at the time?
@@赤ゲキ Well a I haven't been alive 20 years, And b because I just haven't gotten around to it.
@@ranger5839
In other words, you are still a child or early if not mid teenager as of this year. That explains it then.
@@赤ゲキ You are correct yes lol
Ugh god... this boss fight. It was out of my MIND for 2 decades now. I still remember how FRUSTRATED I was when trying to beat this fucker for months.
Well, good try on the superboss Korone 👍
The expression the realization
did she just tried to eat Ozma?
sasuga Koone-san
Korone get super intense. Don’t mess with her when she gets serious. She’ll come back stronger revenge for revenge. The Yubi Yubi shall be hers to take.
She had a much better first attempt than I did. Ozma hit me with a Level 5 Death immediately and that was it
The live chat really just trolled her into fighting a super boss huh? :p
her silence is Soo cold
korone fight bosses : so i procced to eat
Her surprised face is so funny
At that moment Korone learned despair
That's our Ozzy.
I read it as "...tries to fight F9 tornado..."
I see...so the grand dragons have taught you nothing.
Oh its like exploring golden path after chapter 2 again
In this moment she knew...she FAQ up moment. 1:04.
I'm disappointed, it didn't even Meteor!
(Even at Lv99 doing the friendly monsters quest, you still need some RNG to win. I think this is the only FF superboss I killed in the PSX titles, apart from Ruby WEAPON. I should probably go back and fix that.)
Being at 99 apparently makes it harder. Having a teammate with a level divisible by 5 and by 4 makes it easier since it will use specialized attacks on them
First thing she tries to do is eat it
This dog is my hero
"Wait, I saved right?"
*P* *A* *N* *I* *K*
I'm surprised no one in chat was spam F O E! F O E! F O E!
LMAO her impulse to try and eat Ozma
It's Deja Vu but with a different monster. First the Grand Dragon and then Ozma.
One does not simply fight Ozma unprepared.
I feel so bad for her when she gets quiet instead of crying... :(
She did not cry either when the Grand Dragon did something similar with just one Thundaga on her under leveled party at the time.
Just disbelief, despair and silent sorrow before she laughed it off.
3:37 "eh?"
Dude, the first time i got Ozma i already used cheats since i played for fun. After i got completely obliterated i completely lost for words
ah yes, good ol funky ball
What you need to prepare to fight Ozma
1. Level your team to 60 at least
2. Bring Eiko
3. Have 66 Phoenix Phinion to have 66% chance for Eiko to cast Phoenix when annihilated in case Ozma decide to wipe you at first Meteor
To be fair, I beat this game using a guide, and I could never beat Ozma.
I feel confused. FF has many missable items (and in case of advance, missable enemy).
Which means using a guide is a must (for me)
But that means missing out, just going around wildly and no one really cares about a completed save file but myself. But what will I do with it.
That and me stuck with gacha games and irl so I can't do a blind run then a guided run (even if I've restarted skyrim many2 times...)
Sorry for suddenly writing my feelings here
Did she even did the sidequests that make Ozma weaker?
