Tiamat (Mesopotamian reference) I took it as being the dark gods who unleashed the void bullet and annihilating bothe the Tecoma ring gate and it's counter opposite Gate that had a civilization on a planet. Segale and Duartes persistance to test discipline on the dark gods unleashed the wrath of the dark gods / ring entities. I loved the Timothy reference and picked it up that Amos was being the seed on Laconia that had a special mission. This story was AMAZING!!!!
Yes it was. I do hope that the tv series comes back to in some way to finish things up. It would be fun to see how different it would be from the books.
@@MadFabe what was your take on Admiral Dictator Duarte? His rule of authoritarianism although nice at first glance but very restrictive when you actually analyze his / Laconia's style of rule being very Authoritatian, it still appeared very all encompassing in some odd almost Altruistic manner. 🤔
I think that he really believed that his way was best for the future of humans. In his mind the best progress humans made was when they were ruled by a strong man. He had a very high opinion of himself, since he believed that he was the only person for the job. He felt that he could rule with an iron fist, but still have compassion. But at the end how much was him and how much was the ring station/protomolecule? When did it really begin to change him? Or did it just allow his baser instincts to take over.
Is it just me or are Elvi's chapters in Tiamat's Wrath a sample of great horror writing? I mean putting your fist into your missing piece of leg in order to apply pressure and living through that high-G burn to get out of the ring was intense...I had a nightmare about it after experiencing that chapter. I braced myself every time her chapters began...
That catalyst protomoleculs woman had my skin crawling super creepy chapter. Not to mention when they had those kids as lab rats. I always find it fascinating how their able to travel from point a to point b planet to planet solar system to solar system ring gate to ring gate it must take months to years. There must be a lot of time jumps within book 8.

So every human everywhere experienced a time skip. The second time skip happened later on in the book about chapter 38, when they lost 20 mins. Those were the two time skips in this book.

Yea, they wrote some intense scenes, that's what makes the series so good.
