The best thing about Tudor's channel is his love-hate relationship with his gear. Not a long time ago Tudor would criticize the x-t5 because it's too bulky, but when the true evil appears (the x100vi) Tudor immediately forgets his small misunderstandings with the x-t5 :-)

THIS IS LITERALLY THE VIDEO I WAS WAITING FOR. Was already decided on the X100VI because of the compact size, kept comparing it to the XT-5 but couldn't imagine having a big package with me all the time, no one was doing side to sides when THEY'RE LITERALLY THE SAME INTERNALLY.

The X-T5 with the 23mm F2 is 216 grams and 550 dollars more than the X100VI. You also lose the flash, the ND filter and the leaf shutter.
Exactly... and when you try to reduce the overall depth of the X-T5 by using the 27mm F2.8 like what the OP suggested, it is 120 grams and $500 more than the X100VI.
...but you get better evf, better Batterielife, two Cardslots, better ergonomics and way more flexibility because of interchangable lenses. Pros and Cons in both Sides 🤷

Regarding the ND filter, no problem. Set your shutter to mechanical/electronic and when the 1/8000th is maxed out, the camera immediately and with no need to do anything manually go to the electric shutter giving up to 1/32000 of a second.
I shoot at f/1.4 in bright sun with no problem using this setting, making ND filters superfluous.
@@propsonfilming2151 ... we can go down that same rabbit hole. Why not spend an extra $300 over the X-T5 and go for the X-H2? You'll get a better EVF, much faster CFexpress card slot, full size HDMI port, dedicated headphone port, superior egos, upgraded build quality, optional vertical grips, optional fan, 8K video...
It's not only about the Pros and Cons... it's about having options to fit individual needs and wants.
Each camera has it's own appeal. The fixed lens cameras take away any doubts or insecurities when having to chose a lens to take with you. You just pick it up and go, as simple as that.
On the other hand, you need a lot of self control when already having and interchangeable lens camera as GAS is quite fearsome. No shame in trying things to be hones.
Should I sell my A7IV for the XT5? Want something smaller and lighter for travel and everyday use. But will also be using it professionally.
It depends, personally I would not do this. Probably better add a smaller a6400 that can take full frame lenses to keep the cost in control. Or get a fixed camera lens, or a small X-T30II with the kit zoom or some primes...
@@Tudor_MateescuI don’t really enjoy shooting on Sony. I wouldn’t get another one. I have a x100vi on preorder. But I was debating canceling that, selling my A7IV, and getting a XT-5 instead.
Sony files are so much cleaner than Fuji files and Sony AF is so much better. I wouldn't for your use case. Plenty of small, light lenses on E mount.
I love your reasoning about using the XT-5 and its versatility! Is the XT-5's EVF a better resolution than the Xpro 3? That would be a plus for me!

It does take a year. And you do know when you don't pick up anything else anymore. Considering how many cameras you have to play with, that's saying something.

Do you like silver or black x100vi?
I like the silver but it's pretty visible on the streets - so I'm inclined now as my next camera to pick black version - it can help you blend in better.
