In the video she has cloths on, but she was found naked and her cloths have never been found, also the tank had a lid that was shut but if you went in the tank it would not be possible to shut it. So who or what shut the tank. Creepy......

At 7:27 the elevator door opens She enters, presses all the buttons and steps back. At 7:36 *You can see the elevator door about to close but then move back as if something triggered the sensor* At 7:43 she looks out the elevator like a child playing a game. At 7:50 she step to the side, looking at the outside of the elevator (left side) the elevator door still doesn't close. At 8:00 she peeks out, looks right At 8:02 she switches directions looks to the left as if looking at something moving. The93Enigma I looked into the history of hotel, since 1985 two serial killers have lived at that hotel. One killed 13 women. Then a man who was a copy cat of the first serial killer live there and killed 3 women. He died back in 1994. He killed himself. There has been many other strange deaths over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something dark in that hotel. This poor girl was another victim to it.

The video playback is slowed down watch the seconds on the video, its playing slower then normal speed. (Any movement slowed down looks weird) 2. We know from autopsy she wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 3. Her body movements indicate a playful nature/ sexual interest and not that of fear. She is clearly relax and not under any stress. 4. If you do any research, you know that she doesn't have any prior medical conditions and is unlikely this is the case of onset of spontaneous schizophrenia. 5. So by the process of elimination, this rules out anxiety/ panic/ other related disorders. 6. Therefore the only conclusions left are paranormal activity or that the killer was smart enough to edit himself out of the footage and was out on the hallway. 7. Only the question remains is why the hotel elevator door remained open when she pressed the buttons and stood at the back.
I have seen asian horror film years ago, where a girl was killed and put in a water container on the hotel roof. Then people in the hotel would complain that the water tasted "funny". And now I see this happened in real life. Very creepy. Shivers

But then, there are also a lot of coicindences that cannot be explained like the tuberculous tests, the Alister Crowley connection & the bible connection when she pressed the buttons. Actually the Elisa Lam mystery has been largely solved. She was suffering from bipolar disorder and was taking multiple medications to treat this. The most likely (although it is of course not concrete) explanation was that she was having a manic episode at the time of the elevator footage. This explains the generally strange behaviour but also the bizarre movements and actions such as the way her hands seem to tense up. It also offers and explanations as to why she would climb into the water tank as hallucinations and paranoia along with a huge range of other symptoms can be explained both by a manic episode and as side effects of the multiple medications she was taking. People often wonder how she got into the tank but its essentially a mental lid. It's not a bank vault. It wouldn't be that difficult to open and it was on a hinge which means after letting go, it would simply fall back into place.

how do you explain how she got onto the roof without setting off an alarm? It's explained that there was an alarm. Also as soon as she walked away from the elevator the doors close. Also the lid to the tank was described as heavy and difficult to open. It does look like she is having an episode but that doesn't explain everything

Re. Alisa Lam. She kept pressing the door open button, that's why the elevator doors wouldn't close. There is another elevator to the left of this one. There is a large mirror on the wall opposite the elevator doors, when she stands to the left of the elevator doors (almost out of sight) she is looking at herself in the mirror. The roof door was not locked, it was a push bar emergency exit. There are reports that the door alarm was powered by a 9v battery and it may not have been working. The Hotel would not want to admit this obviously. There was a permanent ladder to the top of the water tank. There is a myth that the lid of the water tank was too heavy to be lifted, this has not been proved. The narrator of this video states that Elisa ended up in the water tank a few moments after the video in the elevator. There is no time display on the video, it is not known for certain when this video footage was recorded. Elisa was at the hotel for several days, the video could have been recorded any time during her stay at the hotel. Please check the facts before jumping to conclusions. There is a lot of information available on the web if you take the trouble to find it. So far, no ghosts have been proved to have been involved.

In letters /postcards to a friend she keeps stating about a creepy guy, why was this not further investigated by the cops. Elisa also bought souvenirs does this sound like someone wanting to take their own life. Unfortunately there are people with mental health issues who are murdered and weigh up the odds of the person being crazy= suicide.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the movie "Dark Water" (2005) had a very uncanny reassemblence to Elisa Lams death. In this movie a Daughter and Mother move into a haunted hotel, there's a weird elevator (just like one Elisa was in), the residents of the hotel complain of discoloured and odd tasting water and a body of a girl is found in the water tank on top of the roof. Very uncanny. Its also very important to point out Elisa had bipolar disorder and depression and she was on 4 different types of medication to cope with the condition, so she definitely had a history of mental health issues and even kept a blog and spoke about living with her conditions. Her family said she had never tried to attempt suicide.

Joe Olds it is spooky and an explanation for Elisas death (or murder?...) is very difficult. The way the Elevator behaves is very unusual too. As we see in the footage, its as if Elisa is hiding from someone. The door to the roof itself was locked too and it would've been very difficult for Elisa to climb into the water tank, whether she was mentally insane at the time or not. And of course we know she had no previous suicide attempts. The whole episode is deeply strange and bizarre....
*In regards to the Elisa Lam case,* there is a creepypasta ritual that originated in Japan that gives viewers instructions as to how to connect to the spiritual world or another world via the use of an elevator. It includes pushing most, if not all, of the elevator buttons and also states that another entity/person will get on the elevator after stopping on a floor. If this can only be experienced by the participator, it would explain why the surveillance footage does not capture the opening and closing of the elevator door *and* the presence of another being although it seems like Elisa can. Knowing about the ritual, she would definitely be expecting someone-but again, if this can only be experienced by the participator, the camera would not have captured this presence. Lastly, the elevator is supposed to stop on an unaccessible floor and will supposedly appear to be a white, empty-looking space filled with other trapped spirits that haven't progressed to the afterlife, which could also explain why when Elisa got out of the elevator it appeared as if she were interacting with people that weren't captured by surveillance. Last but not least, since the unaccessible floor was the "locked and alarmed" rooftop and further accessed by Elisa, she had ventured on with the perception that she was in a blank space with other entities but shortly met her demise. This is the best explanation I have for this. Eliza was killed by a maintenance engineer. Someone who had access to the elevator controls, the roof top door/alarm, and the water tank. I think the video shows that someone shut down the elevator to get her cornered. (Elevator controls are located close to the elevator and amounts to flipping a switch - not rocket science) Her arm movements in the video kind of looked like she was trying to activate the motion sensor to see if the elevator door would work. I think she was being stalked at that very moment... Once she was abducted, after whatever happened, the maintenance guy placed her in the tank on the roof. Who else could get by the alarmed door? 16 inches of an opening is plenty large enough to fit a small girl through. The water would help to destroy any physical evidence left on her body and it was a great hiding spot. He got away with it because of her strange hand movements in the elevator video, that's it. If she hadn't looked so strange, no one would be freaking out. Attention moved away from the simplest solution because imaginations were triggered...

The hole to the water tank was SO small they had to cut a new hole in the tank just to get her out. It wasn't 16 inches across it was 16 inches in diameter which makes the hole about 5 inches across. How she got in, no one knows. Even odder a flu with her same name broke out about a week later. A week before they found her. I have this all on good authority from someone that was there. Crazy huh?

The last one always baffled me. Some suspect that she may have been attempting the elevator game. One thing that was mentioned in this video that people tend to overlook was the elevator door. As he said, it's baffling how the elevator door remained open while she was out of it for a minute or two, and mysteriously ends up closing as soon as she is out of sight. Why the door was open for so long will always remain a mystery.

Ok, the last video is very strange! It's a bright and warm sunny day behind the window, and I am shivering watching this. This poor girl looks high. No emotions or fear on her face, she seems very focused. The only normal answer for me would be psychotic disorder or drug/gas that leaves no/short trace. And thus she was found later, the molecules of some drugs could already fall apart and disappear from her body.

The Elisa thing is fucking creepy, but I swear looking at the video it just looks like her trying to figure out why the elevator isn't working. She gets in and hits the button, nothing happens. So like a goof ball she moves around worried that she's in the way of some kind of sensor and hides in the corner. This doesn't work so she steps out of the elevator and waves her hands in between the doors (admittedly in a very odd way), this doesn't help either so she gets back in the elevator and hits all the buttons. That doesn't work she says screw it and gets off and leaves, then the door closes moments after she's gone. I had a French Girlfriend that acted like that. That is the number 5. Very sad, she attempted to kill herself several times. The final time before she was committed to a mental hospital she tried to drown herself in a cistern on the farm we lived on. She is Ok now, i still talk to her. The elevator may have just been the elevator. The elevator doors at my college take FOREVER to shut too, unless you push the close doors button. But then when she was moving in and out of the doorway, it would've picked up there was something blocking it, so would have prolonged the time...but idrk though.
The Elisa Lam case has already been solved by a police officer who stated in video the true story behind the gruesome tale. According to the police officer, he had gotten a written statement and an interview with a man who was checked into a room very close to hers which was room 4-10. Apparently exactly one hour after she was in the elevator the guest heard a loud crack on the head and some screaming coming from her room. He didn't investigate because he was just a foreigner who didn't know exactly what was going on so he dropped it. But supposedly on her twitter account she writes a message a month before going to the hotel mentioning she has very bad insomnia. The cop believes that the reason she was outside of her room in the first place at 1:47 am was because she couldn't sleep. The reason she went into the elevator was because she was running from one of the employees of the hotel because he was trying to rape her. The employee noticed she was a non American women on vacation alone and he wanted to take advantage of her. Now there has been speculation that there were more then one employee. Anyway the employee or "employee's" were quote "Messing around with her chasing her around the halls of the Hotel until she ran into her room" The reason why 50 seconds of the video was removed was due to the employee removing his face or any evidence leading to his identity. After she ran into her room he used a room key to enter and begin to rape her. As she got to loud with the screaming he was worried someone who hear so he bashed her head in to shut her up. After he realized he had potentially murdered her he took her to the roof. Him being an employee gained access to unlocking the door. He removed the lid on the tank and threw her naked raped dead body into the tank and filled the water with chlorine to remove and semen in her system. The reason she did not have any water in her lungs was because she did not drown she was already dead the moment she entered the water tank. He then proceeded to cover the tank with the lid and went back to the lobby. There were no demons, no ghosts, and no crazy Illuminati crap going on. Just a sweet innocent loving girl who wanted to do a bit of traveling and a monster who just had to get his thrills. It is said that the murderer is still at large and may even still work at the Hotel. My advice to you ladies out there traveling alone, Please for the love of god carry a weapon! And for the TB he body was rotting in the water system nearby for 3 weeks. Human carcasses carry so many diseases and since TB is connected to cannibalism obviously drinking her bodily fluids would most defiantly cause a strand of TB for sure. Since the hotel already has such a bad rap they couldn't have that on their record as well. It was all brushed under the carpet. So for the sake of a disgusting hell hole there was no further investigation in the Elisa Lam case.
+Madison Barbiero I thought this same thing when it first happened, that it was an employee of the hotel who murdered her. There was no roof access for guests, just hotel staff so there would have been no way she could have gotten up on the roof without a key. There also would have been no way she could have pulled back the water tank lid on her own. The employee who murdered her probably had help from a couple other employees who put her in there. Opening those lids is not something one person can do, you need two or more people for that size of a water tank that she was found in, and those tank lids are padlocked, also with a key that only maintenance staff would have had. I think it was a maintenance employee who did it because of the keys. Maintenance also would have had access to the camera footage and you can see that it clearly has been altered. I think I remember reading about sixteen minutes were cut from it. Maintenance also has the ability to control elevator doors using a key, I've seen it done, they have a main key that goes into elevator operating panels that opens the doors in case the doors are stuck and won't open. Employee is standing just out of range of the camera and when the doors start to close, all he would have had to do was stick a key into the operating panel to prevent them from closing. Those panels are always right beside the elevators. This poor girl. What sick idiot that did this. It wasn't paranormal, it wasn't anything except someone who murdered her. The real monsters aren't ghosts or anything like that, they are living breathing people.

Elisa Lam clearly suffered a psychotic episode. She had a history of mental illness and had left her SNRI's at home. SNRI's leave the body incredibly fast and can cause all manner of withdrawal symptoms which can aggravate the illness further. I think it is safe to say that she accidentally drowned her self while trying to escape a paranoid delusion.

In fact her behavior is totally consistent with someone suffering form bipolar disorder (during its manic phase) or schizophrenia. And the Police investigation came out confirming that the tank was left unlocked. And it seems possible that she was holding the open door button while she pushed buttons in the elevator. Seriously, I don't see anything mysterious or supernatural on her tragic death, it's just the video in the elevator that makes that case creepy to some people.
Even when you push the "hold door open" button, it doesn't last that long though because even when she had been in there a while after she pushed it and leaned or stepped out the door, you never saw the door jolt-like "normal" elevators do-when somone triggers the sensor. I'm not necessarily agreeing or disagreeing with either side of this because you made some good points, but I wouldn't totally disregard the strange behavior of the elevator door either. I hope that this made sense.

One time I sat at the computer when suddenly i heard creepy male voice coming out of my speakers. It sounded like #3, but it wasn't Russian language (it was a language i've never heard) and they weren't just words, instead there were full sentences. It scared me, so I turned off my computer but the male voice kept talking. I even unplugged the connector from a socket, but it did nothing to stop the speakers. short time after the sentences stopped, like nothing happened. Elisa Lamb does look like she was drugged. But it seems like somebody drugged her and kept the elevator from running on purpose. It looks an awful lot like she was being terrorized, and that wouldn't be all that hard to believe considering where she was at the time and the amount of freaks that live in that area. I don't think she wound up in the water tank of her own volition, but was rather tricked into it. She wasn't physically forced, but instead "persuaded" by whomever was terrorizing her. Just another theory among the others But she was acting way too erratically to not be drugged in some way. That or she was completely paranoid..
There are drugs that cannot be detected in a tox screen under certain conditions. Not all drugs work the same and have the same build that would allow it to be discovered the same way. Others can be undetectable based on how she died or could have still been in her system and undetectable to the tech they used. It isn't always 100% accurate, and there are plenty of drugs that can avoid detection either from lack of detail on the part of the person doing the test or simply because the tech can't find it.

When it started working was IMMEDIATELY after she finally stopped trying to get it to move. For all we know, the reason for this could stretch as far as a branch of government simply testing out a drug for mind control. She wasn't forced into the water tower and no signs of a struggle which means she did it of her own volition or she was "convinced" to do so. 2. We know from autopsy she wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
3. Her body movements indicate a playful nature/ sexual interest and not that of fear. She is clearly relax and not under any stress.
4. If you do any research, you know that she doesn't have any prior medical conditions and is unlikely this is the case of onset of spontaneous schizophrenia.
5. So by the process of elimination, this rules out anxiety/ panic/ other related disorders.
6. Therefore the only conclusions left are paranormal activity or that the killer was smart enough to edit himself out of the footage and was out on the hallway.
7. Only the question remains is why the hotel elevator door remained open when she pressed the buttons and stood at the back.
I have seen asian horror film years ago, where a girl was killed and put in a water container on the hotel roof. Then people in the hotel would complain that the water tasted "funny". And now I see this happened in real life. Very creepy. Shivers

Actually the Elisa Lam mystery has been largely solved. She was suffering from bipolar disorder and was taking multiple medications to treat this. The most likely (although it is of course not concrete) explanation was that she was having a manic episode at the time of the elevator footage. This explains the generally strange behaviour but also the bizarre movements and actions such as the way her hands seem to tense up. It also offers and explanations as to why she would climb into the water tank as hallucinations and paranoia along with a huge range of other symptoms can be explained both by a manic episode and as side effects of the multiple medications she was taking.
People often wonder how she got into the tank but its essentially a mental lid. It's not a bank vault. It wouldn't be that difficult to open and it was on a hinge which means after letting go, it would simply fall back into place.

There is another elevator to the left of this one.
There is a large mirror on the wall opposite the elevator doors, when she stands to the left of the elevator doors (almost out of sight) she is looking at herself in the mirror.
The roof door was not locked, it was a push bar emergency exit.
There are reports that the door alarm was powered by a 9v battery and it may not have been working. The Hotel would not want to admit this obviously.
There was a permanent ladder to the top of the water tank.
There is a myth that the lid of the water tank was too heavy to be lifted, this has not been proved.
The narrator of this video states that Elisa ended up in the water tank a few moments after the video in the elevator. There is no time display on the video, it is not known for certain when this video footage was recorded. Elisa was at the hotel for several days, the video could have been recorded any time during her stay at the hotel.
Please check the facts before jumping to conclusions. There is a lot of information available on the web if you take the trouble to find it.
So far, no ghosts have been proved to have been involved.

Elisa Lam was being medicated due to her Bipolar Disorder, she took pics of all her meds and posted/commented on her own tumblr account. By her blogs she hated having to reply on medication to feel normal, there are such date rape drugs eg: Benadryl, GHB, Rohypnol and Ketamine that will not show up in toxicology reports. what about her belongings obviously the LAPD have held back evidence- where is her cellphone and her computer also the clothes that were found were not the ones she was wearing in the lift video. Elisa was a petite lady but not small enough to fit through the opening, in which she must have dislodged her shoulder in order to fit in/or be shoved in which could suggest she was already dead when she was placed there. In letters /postcards to a friend she keeps stating about a creepy guy, why was this not further investigated by the cops. Elisa also bought souvenirs does this sound like someone wanting to take their own life. Unfortunately there are people with mental health issues who are murdered and weigh up the odds of the person being crazy= suicide.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the movie "Dark Water" (2005) had a very uncanny reassemblence to Elisa Lams death. In this movie a Daughter and Mother move into a haunted hotel, there's a weird elevator (just like one Elisa was in), the residents of the hotel complain of discoloured and odd tasting water and a body of a girl is found in the water tank on top of the roof. Very uncanny. *In regards to the Elisa Lam case,* there is a creepypasta ritual that originated in Japan that gives viewers instructions as to how to connect to the spiritual world or another world via the use of an elevator. It includes pushing most, if not all, of the elevator buttons and also states that another entity/person will get on the elevator after stopping on a floor. If this can only be experienced by the participator, it would explain why the surveillance footage does not capture the opening and closing of the elevator door *and* the presence of another being although it seems like Elisa can. Knowing about the ritual, she would definitely be expecting someone-but again, if this can only be experienced by the participator, the camera would not have captured this presence. Eliza was killed by a maintenance engineer. Someone who had access to the elevator controls, the roof top door/alarm, and the water tank.
I think the video shows that someone shut down the elevator to get her cornered. (Elevator controls are located close to the elevator and amounts to flipping a switch - not rocket science)
Her arm movements in the video kind of looked like she was trying to activate the motion sensor to see if the elevator door would work. I think she was being stalked at that very moment...
Once she was abducted, after whatever happened, the maintenance guy placed her in the tank on the roof. Who else could get by the alarmed door? 16 inches of an opening is plenty large enough to fit a small girl through. The water would help to destroy any physical evidence left on her body and it was a great hiding spot.
He got away with it because of her strange hand movements in the elevator video, that's it. If she hadn't looked so strange, no one would be freaking out. Attention moved away from the simplest solution because imaginations were triggered...

The hole to the water tank was SO small they had to cut a new hole in the tank just to get her out. It wasn't 16 inches across it was 16 inches in diameter which makes the hole about 5 inches across. How she got in, no one knows. Even odder a flu with her same name broke out about a week later. A week before they found her. I have this all on good authority from someone that was there. Crazy huh?

The last one always baffled me. Some suspect that she may have been attempting the elevator game. One thing that was mentioned in this video that people tend to overlook was the elevator door. As he said, it's baffling how the elevator door remained open while she was out of it for a minute or two, and mysteriously ends up closing as soon as she is out of sight. Why the door was open for so long will always remain a mystery.

The Elisa thing is fucking creepy, but I swear looking at the video it just looks like her trying to figure out why the elevator isn't working. She gets in and hits the button, nothing happens. So like a goof ball she moves around worried that she's in the way of some kind of sensor and hides in the corner. This doesn't work so she steps out of the elevator and waves her hands in between the doors (admittedly in a very odd way), this doesn't help either so she gets back in the elevator and hits all the buttons. That doesn't work she says screw it and gets off and leaves, then the door closes moments after she's gone.
Of course none of that has anything to do with how she wound up in the water tank.

The elevator may have just been the elevator. The elevator doors at my college take FOREVER to shut too, unless you push the close doors button. But then when she was moving in and out of the doorway, it would've picked up there was something blocking it, so would have prolonged the time...but idrk though.

The Elisa Lam case has already been solved by a police officer who stated in video the true story behind the gruesome tale. According to the police officer, he had gotten a written statement and an interview with a man who was checked into a room very close to hers which was room 4-10. Apparently exactly one hour after she was in the elevator the guest heard a loud crack on the head and some screaming coming from her room. He didn't investigate because he was just a foreigner who didn't know exactly what was going on so he dropped it. But supposedly on her twitter account she writes a message a month before going to the hotel mentioning she has very bad insomnia. The cop believes that the reason she was outside of her room in the first place at 1:47 am was because she couldn't sleep. The reason she went into the elevator was because she was running from one of the employees of the hotel because he was trying to rape her. The employee noticed she was a non American women on vacation alone and he wanted to take advantage of her. Now there has been speculation that there were more then one employee. Anyway the employee or "employee's" were quote "Messing around with her chasing her around the halls of the Hotel until she ran into her room" The reason why 50 seconds of the video was removed was due to the employee removing his face or any evidence leading to his identity. After she ran into her room he used a room key to enter and begin to rape her. As she got to loud with the screaming he was worried someone who hear so he bashed her head in to shut her up. After he realized he had potentially murdered her he took her to the roof. Him being an employee gained access to unlocking the door. He removed the lid on the tank and threw her naked raped dead body into the tank and filled the water with chlorine to remove and semen in her system. The reason she did not have any water in her lungs was because she did not drown she was already dead the moment she entered the water tank. He then proceeded to cover the tank with the lid and went back to the lobby. There were no demons, no ghosts, and no crazy Illuminati crap going on. Just a sweet innocent loving girl who wanted to do a bit of traveling and a monster who just had to get his thrills. It is said that the murderer is still at large and may even still work at the Hotel. My advice to you ladies out there traveling alone, Please for the love of god carry a weapon! And for the TB he body was rotting in the water system nearby for 3 weeks. Human carcasses carry so many diseases and since TB is connected to cannibalism obviously drinking her bodily fluids would most defiantly cause a strand of TB for sure. Since the hotel already has such a bad rap they couldn't have that on their record as well. It was all brushed under the carpet. So for the sake of a disgusting hell hole there was no further investigation in the Elisa Lam case.

There was no roof access for guests, just hotel staff so there would have been no way she could have gotten up on the roof without a key. There also would have been no way she could have pulled back the water tank lid on her own. The employee who murdered her probably had help from a couple other employees who put her in there. Opening those lids is not something one person can do, you need two or more people for that size of a water tank that she was found in, and those tank lids are padlocked, also with a key that only maintenance staff would have had. I think it was a maintenance employee who did it because of the keys. Maintenance also would have had access to the camera footage and you can see that it clearly has been altered. I think I remember reading about sixteen minutes were cut from it. Maintenance also has the ability to control elevator doors using a key, I've seen it done, they have a main key that goes into elevator operating panels that opens the doors in case the doors are stuck and won't open. Employee is standing just out of range of the camera and when the doors start to close, all he would have had to do was stick a key into the operating panel to prevent them from closing. Those panels are always right beside the elevators. This poor girl. What sick idiot that did this. It wasn't paranormal, it wasn't anything except someone who murdered her. The real monsters aren't ghosts or anything like that, they are living breathing people.

Elisa Lam clearly suffered a psychotic episode. She had a history of mental illness and had left her SNRI's at home. SNRI's leave the body incredibly fast and can cause all manner of withdrawal symptoms which can aggravate the illness further. I think it is safe to say that she accidentally drowned her self while trying to escape a paranoid delusion.

That Elisa Lam case is not as spooky as some people think it is. It all appears that she was having a psychotic episode. In fact her behavior is totally consistent with someone suffering form bipolar disorder (during its manic phase) or schizophrenia. And the Police investigation came out confirming that the tank was left unlocked. And it seems possible that she was holding the open door button while she pushed buttons in the elevator.
Seriously, I don't see anything mysterious or supernatural on her tragic death, it's just the video in the elevator that makes that case creepy to some people.
Even when you push the "hold door open" button, it doesn't last that long though because even when she had been in there a while after she pushed it and leaned or stepped out the door, you never saw the door jolt-like "normal" elevators do-when somone triggers the sensor. I'm not necessarily agreeing or disagreeing with either side of this because you made some good points, but I wouldn't totally disregard the strange behavior of the elevator door either. I hope that this made sense.

One time I sat at the computer when suddenly i heard creepy male voice coming out of my speakers. It sounded like #3, but it wasn't Russian language (it was a language i've never heard) and they weren't just words, instead there were full sentences. It scared me, so I turned off my computer but the male voice kept talking. I even unplugged the connector from a socket, but it did nothing to stop the speakers. short time after the sentences stopped, like nothing happened. Is there someone who has experienced the same thing?

Elisa Lamb does look like she was drugged. But it seems like somebody drugged her and kept the elevator from running on purpose. It looks an awful lot like she was being terrorized, and that wouldn't be all that hard to believe considering where she was at the time and the amount of freaks that live in that area. I don't think she wound up in the water tank of her own volition, but was rather tricked into it. She wasn't physically forced, but instead "persuaded" by whomever was terrorizing her.

There are drugs that cannot be detected in a tox screen under certain conditions. Not all drugs work the same and have the same build that would allow it to be discovered the same way. Others can be undetectable based on how she died or could have still been in her system and undetectable to the tech they used. It isn't always 100% accurate, and there are plenty of drugs that can avoid detection either from lack of detail on the part of the person doing the test or simply because the tech can't find it.

+Reza JP This entire speculation is just a theory. Not everything is detectable unless you know to look for it specifically. Did you not see the video? The elevator did not respond for a few minutes. When it started working was IMMEDIATELY after she finally stopped trying to get it to move. For all we know, the reason for this could stretch as far as a branch of government simply testing out a drug for mind control. She wasn't forced into the water tower and no signs of a struggle which means she did it of her own volition or she was "convinced" to do so. There can be nothing but conspiracy theories regarding that case and unless it actually was a branch of the government and the info is leaked at one point, it is unlikely we will ever find out. All we know is that she was being terrorized, and her behaviour is more than enough to prove that. The only other possibility is that she suffered some sort of injury that made her imagine being terrorized and convinced herself to go drown. But that still doesn't explain why the elevator just sat there until she left.

***** 'Ourang Medan' was literally the name of the ship, you can Google it. It was belong to Dutch company (but then some researchers found out that the ship was never been registered in any Dutch shipping companies). Indonesia was Dutch colony for more than 300 yrs, so maybe that's why they were using Indonesian old grammar (it happened around WW 2) to named the ship. I'm Indonesian too btw, lol. Don't you think it's funny that a lot of Indonesian don't know about 'Ourang Medan' mystery? There's so many debatable theories, but we have to admit that we're all just guessing here.

How could a killer have the time and privacy to do this?
