I loved the Mahoning Drive-In 'At the Drive-In' documentary (and I have it on DVD because I loved watching it multiple times; too many times to count in fact) and I'm so glad it has kept going as a thriving business. :)
This is so awesome. I saw that doc years ago and always wondered if they survived. SO glad to know they did! Next time I'm on the east coast I'll have to make a pilgrimage.
When we lived in CT I don't remember if we went to a drive-in I was too young. But in P.R. there were no drive-ins so we went to the common theaters. I missed that part of growing up I don't know what watching a film at a drive-in is. But now I am in NY so if there's one close I can go. It's great that these guys are keeping this legacy alive. I can only imagine what is like to see a Fulci film, The Exorcist, etc. on a drive-in screen it must be glorious. Very good interview and cool video Heath!👍

Saw Vice Squad in a theater back in the day and was amazed that my friends mother knew who Wings Hauser was from some soap opera that he was in and she loved him! Might be worth the drive if they can get it. Thanks Heath and continued good luck guys. Will def watch the doc.

Matt is no longer at the Mahoning. He now owns Shankweiler’s Drive-in. Jess and Virgil are both still there.
