Getting over an 8 foot wall for Women

  • Most tutorials for getting over an 8 foot wall do not show you how to get that initial grip. This video gives some tips on how to train to get your hands to the top, in order to get over. Most women are 5'4 or so. They are not going to be able to bounce from the ground up. Using a foot "dig" method could make all the difference. You don't need to use the "cheat" step. Practice on smaller walls. Then be BRAVE and keep practicing a method that will set you up to win! Believe you can and you will!

    THANK YOU! This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm 5'3 an I need to get over a 7' wall. Jumping up and grabbing is NOT going to happen! Looking forward to trying this. :)

    Wow! Exactly what I was looking for! My friends (6 women & 1 man) are doing our first Spartan in 2 weeks (southern cali). We found a place where we can climb walls but that 7' one was a beast. I now have a better sense of how to approach it. thanks!

    Well done for getting up there - I recommend being further from the wall when kicking up, as you’ll get a lot more upwards momentum, and not nearly face-plant the wall :-)

      @nextlevelfitnesstraining5174  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will try that! I've been practicing on this wall for a couple of years now and hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a go and see if it helps my clients. thanks!

    Thanks for the video. In OCR those walls will be muddy and planting a step on the wall may be tough. If the board are staggered, like you have them, then you may be able to plant it but if it is one plywood sheet, not so sure.

    Wow, lady, you are so strong. Great! Now, When you place your upper feet one foot higher then is level of your hips, when you standing next to the wall, during the first phase of jump, you should reach probably too feet higher. Now you loosing a lot of high and you could slip down. At 3:46 is visible, that you placed the foot somewhere in the level of your knee. It is too low at this movement. Your are flexible. You can do that. I love your energy how you explain that. Fantastic! Keep helping people with this energy :)

    Parkour teaches that wall jump. Where you use your leg to plant and push up. I can gain almost 2 feet using that technique :)

    This has been done before, it's called a wall run. It's a parkour move and there are multiple in depth tutorials on this move. I recommend everyone watch these tutorials. 😁😁😁

    How about getting over a wall when it’s runny wet and muddy ? I know how to get over the wall when it’s dry but how about when it’s wet ? Thank you 🙏

    • @nextlevelfitnesstraining5174
      @nextlevelfitnesstraining5174  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Right!? I know! the difficulty is exponential when it's muddy and wet. The only answer I have is practice! Even if it's on a dry wall, we keep building confidence to approach it no matter what the situation. I also spend time watching other women on SM get over the walls. Watch what the elite's do.

  • @russlerivermaster6674
    @russlerivermaster6674 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's called parkour. If you get some momentum behind your run up you can do a good wall run and at your height can get up to around 12 foot walls

    • @nextlevelfitnesstraining5174
