Played it yesterday, there were few harder missions in campaign. Just block the two little entrances with walls, no one will go there and destroy it. I built like 8 towers with mangonels to spam stones on pig, saladin and wolf. By the time I had 75 horse archers, their money and army was almost non existent. You will have to destroy wolf’s one tower where he has mangonel, I just built 2 trebuchets. And make bread, you can put 4 wheat farms on the grass in the start. Make crossbows too ofc, you can also build 2 quarries, 1 on the right and 1 in the middle, closest to you, they will not reach it.
Ah yes, doesn't everyone remember the crusade against Saladin and Richard in 1850-1872 where armies of crossbowmen and catapults tore down their castles before beating them up with spears and swords? :D
You can actually rush the wolf right at the start with macemen if you're fast enough. It's a bit difficult because you have to start an economy and defence at the same time so you don't get rekt but, if done correctly, it makes the rest of the mission a LOT easier
One thing i enjoyed so much doing in this mission was that on your area towards wolf i placed several trebuchets along with some fire balistas to protect them i reduced half the wolf's castle to rubble before even moving out and honestly harrassing wolf like that for half the mission was simply too fun.
Pro tip: if you struggle with melee units reaching archers/crossbowmen on your tower like at 0:28, just place a gatehouse adjacent to your tower instead of the stairs.
Finally I beat this mission :) Also little bit tips. You can counter wolf mangonel with square tower. Yes, the size is bigger, so I put it on the iron mine, which is have larger space. If you success, you can use a lot of space without worry about wolf catapult. And you can make 1-2 fire balista to burn the entire saladin castle :)
I rushed to seal off my area with round towers and sprinkled towers facing the other enemies too. It was messy, but Wolf, Pig, and Saladin became crippled as a result.

The material resources (stone and pitch) hold the lack of food (and iron at the begin). I think the first lord I beated was the wolf with a mobile tower and many arcers and bowman. I beated the pig with mangles, ballistas and then one attack of pikemen. The rest is easy.
Honestly I just made gameplay speed 20 restarted the mission and placed hovels in the spots where the ai makes its mercenary posts and barracks. What will happen the ai isn’t able to delete them and build over it like it can with a woodcutters but. U can send over assassins or macemen straight to their keep after that and easily kill them.
So I imagine you'll be doing warchest trail too, and my first candidate is The Rapids, where you're against two emirs and a wazir with the help of a marshall (useless). Even though it's not too hard, sometimes one or both the Emirs will randomly be able to have a massive 600 Arab Swordsmen army and wash over your defenses, though that may be due to having moats to wall off your keeps? This happened to me once
I placed a very exposed tower at the bottom keep vs keep on pig and saladin, stuffed it with crossbows and shields, recruited a few arab crossbows and a fire ballista to cook saladin
You dont want to know how i did it. It took me 4:26hours. I killed the pig early and put my lord with archers onto a tower with no stairs so the ai wont send as much attacks. After carefully building up a horsearcher army and some assassins i killed saladin and with him gone i was able to place towers much further out and from there it was just a matter of time till ive won.
I finished the mission but I followed another method. One of the most important things you must do is destroy that tower In Wolf Castle so I made long range catapults in large numbers I put them behind towers I made a lot of them and put crossbow soldiers on them and that tool that shoots arrows and some towers contain catapults
I destroyed the Wolf Castle and Saladin without a confrontation. When I play, I do not like to lose a large number of soldiers because I want to achieve a crushing victory. I only had 250 soldiers killed, but in return I killed more than 4,000.
1. rush down the wolf with maces and 2-3 rams for the gatehouse 2. place walls or dig ditches to block off the top area but far enough away from your base so the catapults+ slaves cant reach your base 3. 1 or 2 towers infront of your base to hold the main area and 1 smaller tower to protect the entrance by the quarries 4. build up your economy in peace without consistent mangol and catapult fire from the wolf, pig and richard 5. win the game ps: the only hard mission in the entire trail is thunder hill
just use catelpluts and horse archer mens to defend, then make groups of 50 horse archers and 10 catapults. Just keep pushing these groups forward slowly and wisely. I am sure it will work very fine. crossbow men are useless because of time they take to reload their archers.
Amazing video i managed to secure resources area well with the strategy, but then im suck at laying siege that the game took much much longer than i expected hahahaha I really hate how unit recruit limit works, youre so restricted to build a very small amount of forces bcz there are lots of player on the map~ Tho it becomes progressively easier to attack as you take down more castle since it allows you to build more unit for attacking~
Your game is good but why you not play normal speed and play with maltiplayers. Its very intrested we watch your videos. So i request to you. Play games like pro and smothly and normal videos

If I'm close enough I always place towers with mangonels and carpet siege an enemy

or delete stairs after putting crossbows and shields up there, they wont ever die anyways

This is one of the few games in which it is impossible to start by spending on horsemen and win.

Make videos about Stronghold Crusader Extreme, its way harder I never finished campaight, I would like to see how you deal with that.
