Here's my thought. Seth has been a rude jerk for years. Even back in 2016 I was saying so, cause he would insult and mock anyone he debated and would regularly harshly insult his audience and peers. Nobody wanted to listen to me, and a lot of DBTubers swept his behavior under the rug. Now a lot of them are pretending to be shocked and surprised (not gonna name names). Just saying. All of this stuff was obvious and I'm glad Seth is finally getting his comeuppance. Also, Geekdom, good on you for basically being drama-free for 8+ years now. Seth financially held Clyde hostage,made him cut off friends and connections,stole money from fans,humiliated him for internet clout,the allegations against minors. Bullies bully others because they were bullied yet they still know they are in the wrong. “You dont know whats going on in their real life.” But that doesn’t matter, Seth’s nor clyde’s. We all have unconscious actions we do cause by life experiences but as a grown man you know right from wrong. You can’t just excuse his actions by saying that.
Getting Keemstar isn't really a smart move as who knows how far bad news travels. Geekdom keeping a level head while he weathers the storm (and inevitably in the crosshairs of a moist critikal video should it blow up) is something I can respect.
I always thought Seth's abusive anime villain personality was just a meme for the fans. I even watched his streams and found it kinda entertaining, I thought his friends were ok with the insults and it was all for the camera. But apparently that's how he is all the time with everyone. By hearing how he speak, It seems that he never perceived the moment the character and the human being behind It became one in the same. Looks like in his mind he was only being a jerk on camera, while he was being a jerk 24/7. He voices over someone else's ideas, while another person makes the visuals. The creative content in the videos are not Seth's. And especially, these aren't heart felt life changing videos you should aspire to. There isn't any moral questions or anything to grow from. His videos are Educational videos that appeal to as many people as possible. So looking at the content, nothing has changed. The information is still just as valid, regardless of who's mouth it comes out of.

I cannot agree with this video. This is not about cancel culture. If someone uses their platform to prey on children, they should loose that platform and never get the opportunity to do it again. Seth being a manipulative asshole is excusable, especially if it doesn't really concern you. But as far as the allegations go, real people were hurt in serious ways by this guy. If all the allegations turn out to be true, he might end up in jail.
Honestly don't like watching vidoes about people getting exposed and I saw a good couple of videos on my recommended on it and they were channels that usually do those types of content. I only ever saw one video from Seth, and that video was him debunking Totally Not Mark’s review on GT. Instead of making a response video simply furthering the discussion while remaining respectful, Seth proceeded to be heavily aggressive. That’s when I knew to one, stop watching the video and two, not follow this guy. Clyde opening up about his very personal stuff sounded very real and like he was just letting go of so much pent up crap. I genuinely felt bad for the guy and cried when he opened up about his childhood. I’ve since subbed to him (loving his Bleach content especially 👍) and Im hoping he can push past this and that Seth doesn’t leave this situation scott free. Then again, we do have to see his side of the story. Though, I’m really doubting it’s even that good with all the evidence Clyde brought up. Even accounts from other people that were affected by Seth like the girl and the animators working on Naruto vs. Ichigo. I remember discovering Seth in 2017 and being absolutely repusled by his behavior to the point that I turned off the video and rarely returned to his channel since. Although I'm not surprised by this development, I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs. It's been a while since I've kept up with Seth but I'm glad Clyde has realized the errors made on his end. Good on him for trying to come out the otherside a better person. I'm proud of Geekdom for remaining impartial and empathetic towards all parties involved.

I really Hope that Healing and Growth can come from everyone affected as well. It's unfortunately a part of Life. As a long-time TH-camr myself, I can confirm that many of us battle Mental Health issues in our own personal lives whether it's within ourselves and/or other folks that are close to us.

I watched quite a bit of the stream yesterday and it was rather heartbreaking. It sucks that all this happened, but I really think at the end of that stream Seth finally felt remorse and does want to seek help. Hearing about his upbringing was horrible and by no means does it justify anything he did, but just like you said children that are brought up in such brokenness can hurt others. I really really hope he does seek help, and doesn’t go in a downward spiral.

I really don’t like using someone’s upbringing as a way to scapegoat for their behaviour especially in this context. I definitely had a pretty horrible upbringing (horribly bullied for most of my childhood, abandoned by my mother, SA’d at a very young age and a myriad of other things) and while I do have my issues I don’t let what happened to me define me or use it as a crutch for bad behaviour. Even though the world beat me down I wanted to do better by other people so I didn’t put people through what I had to go through. I’m not a saint nor do I hope as coming off as preachy, but What he’s done is unforgivable in my mind. Yes he needs help it’s very clear and I hope he does get said help, but feeding into the cycle of violence so to speak isn’t the answer.

Seth has been a rude jerk for years. Even back in 2016 I was saying so, cause he would insult and mock anyone he debated and would regularly harshly insult his audience and peers.
Nobody wanted to listen to me, and a lot of DBTubers swept his behavior under the rug. Now a lot of them are pretending to be shocked and surprised (not gonna name names).
Just saying. All of this stuff was obvious and I'm glad Seth is finally getting his comeuppance.

Getting Keemstar isn't really a smart move as who knows how far bad news travels. Geekdom keeping a level head while he weathers the storm (and inevitably in the crosshairs of a moist critikal video should it blow up) is something I can respect.
I always thought Seth's abusive anime villain personality was just a meme for the fans. I even watched his streams and found it kinda entertaining, I thought his friends were ok with the insults and it was all for the camera.
But apparently that's how he is all the time with everyone. Now I understand why he'd sometimes collab with people then they'd never show up on his streams or videos ever again with no explanation.

And especially, these aren't heart felt life changing videos you should aspire to. There isn't any moral questions or anything to grow from. His videos are Educational videos that appeal to as many people as possible. So looking at the content, nothing has changed. I only ever saw one video from Seth, and that video was him debunking Totally Not Mark’s review on GT. Instead of making a response video simply furthering the discussion while remaining respectful, Seth proceeded to be heavily aggressive. That’s when I knew to one, stop watching the video and two, not follow this guy.
Clyde opening up about his very personal stuff sounded very real and like he was just letting go of so much pent up crap. I genuinely felt bad for the guy and cried when he opened up about his childhood. I’ve since subbed to him (loving his Bleach content especially 👍) and Im hoping he can push past this and that Seth doesn’t leave this situation scott free. Then again, we do have to see his side of the story. Though, I’m really doubting it’s even that good with all the evidence Clyde brought up. Even accounts from other people that were affected by Seth like the girl and the animators working on Naruto vs. Ichigo.

I really Hope that Healing and Growth can come from everyone affected as well. It's unfortunately a part of Life. As a long-time TH-camr myself, I can confirm that many of us battle Mental Health issues in our own personal lives whether it's within ourselves and/or other folks that are close to us.

I watched quite a bit of the stream yesterday and it was rather heartbreaking. It sucks that all this happened, but I really think at the end of that stream Seth finally felt remorse and does want to seek help. Hearing about his upbringing was horrible and by no means does it justify anything he did, but just like you said children that are brought up in such brokenness can hurt others. I really really hope he does seek help, and doesn’t go in a downward spiral.

I watch Seth for Entertainment and His knowledge of my interest. What this man does in his personal life is none of my business. This will be the only video I watch on the drama, it's everywhere, it's hard to avoid. But, the end of the day, ppl really shouldn't care about someone else's demons, we all have em. Seth makes great content, I like his work. The ppl dragging his name through the mud and wait until he's almost at 1 million subs. Kinda felt like jealous. Hope Seth continues to grow in subs. I really liked your input about this geekdom glad to see a more mature adult's take on this and about how the internet is and people's lives offline. It's also important to note that although it doesn't excuse their actions people have typically their reasons behind their actions which helps us understand why things turn out the way they do sometimes.

I remember watching him shortly after finding you when he was at like 10k subs Fucking crazy how he acted. Unfortunately it doesn't surprise me because even in his early debunk videos he really didn't let loose.
Guy who bullies and harasses people on discord, stream, Google+ etc. turns out to be a toxic bully who actually harasses people IRL. SHOCKING

I really don’t like using someone’s upbringing as a way to scapegoat for their behaviour especially in this context. I definitely had a pretty horrible upbringing (horribly bullied for most of my childhood, abandoned by my mother, SA’d at a very young age and a myriad of other things) and while I do have my issues I don’t let what happened to me define me or use it as a crutch for bad behaviour. Even though the world beat me down I wanted to do better by other people so I didn’t put people through what I had to go through. I’m not a saint nor do I hope as coming off as preachy, but What he’s done is unforgivable in my mind. Yes he needs help it’s very clear and I hope he does get said help, but feeding into the cycle of violence so to speak isn’t the answer.

8:42 I 💯 agree it doesn't justify ones actions but bullies are bullies because they got shafted in life. Even with everything I've been through there were times I was the bad guy and wish I could punch myself over so many incidents. Ones growth should be celebrated but everything doesn't go away, just because you are better than you were doesn't mean you stop improving always strive to be better than you were yesterday.
It's not reflective of who you are now, just what you knew at the time.

This is exactly how I feel about the situation. Call him out so he can take accountability but don’t destroy his life to the point where he sees no point in improving. I really hope everyone in the situation takes a break find closure, make sure they have someone in their corner so they don’t make any rash decisions, and improve. Really bummed out not necessarily about the exposed information but just seeing them yelling at each other like that just really sadden me
