    I thought of another angle we can take to get away from specifying "13" and it is simplicity itself... plus provides a bit more participant engagement and free choice. We can mention that that cards run from A to K with Jacks, Queens, Kings being 11, 12, 13. So have them name a 'special number' between let's say 7 - 13. Let's say they say "9". You just have them count off 9 cards, mix them a bit, then go thru the same process except they start with their "Special number" of 9, then 8, 7, 6, and so on. Same procedure when a number is 'hit' dropping the balance on the top of the deck. A second participant may pick "11" as their special number... again they would deal off 11 cards and go thru the process. Whether you hit on one or both piles we follow the same ending procedure to bring us to our predicted card. (Example: the "9" pile hit on the count of '6' so 5 cards would be dropped. And let's say the "11" pile hits on "3", then the 2 remaining cards are dropped on top of the deck. Result is 7 cards were dropped in total. When you add the two 'hits' is is 6 + 3 = 9 ... bada-bing... the prediction is at 9)

    Ok, I've just watched the video, and I think I found one of my favourite trick! Idk, there is something special about this one, Idk what it is, but it just feels right you know... Something about the story, the method, the effecr, all of that combine to create an awesome trick! It happens sometimes, I guess today is my lucky day! Thank you Sean for such awesome tutorials!

    Sean another awesome SW. 👍😊👍😊👍You could also have them shuffle the deck. Spread out the cards face up and you remember the second card from the top. Then turn the deck face down and have the spectator grab a bunch of cards from the middle of the deck, and you bring up 13 as a lucky number. Have them shuffle what they took and deal 13 cards to the table. Then say you feeling lucky deal another 13 cards in another pile if there short have them grab a few from the deck. To me it makes them more involved with the process.

    • @ooohla9872
      @ooohla9872 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, he never showed this exact trick... He did however shared a trick kinda similar, where the same principle is in use, but you had a whole setup, and you would turn cards around and count the number, and finally you would reach their card... So it was the same principle, but not the same trick...

    • @SeanDevine
      @SeanDevine  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly! Lots of tricks use this mathematical principle in different ways. It’s a bewildering one!

    • @ooohla9872
      @ooohla9872 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SeanDevine It's such an awesome principle! It's crazy to think that it works, and pretty simple actually!

    • @ViperK88
      @ViperK88 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could always just let the spectator shuffle and you quickly spread the cards, even with the spectator looking, and glance the second from the top card. They won't know what you are doing, and then it can just be a straight forward, no sleight, card trick!
