Hi Sean. The very first trick (using the free cut principle) is nearly identical to a trick published by John Carey in his book, "The Carey Files". John's trick is called Finnell as I Finnell! (page 22). There are a few minor differences (mostly presentational), but the method and effect are practically identical.
Thank you! Well, this is a routine I just came up with, using ancient mathematical principles. The first one is the free cut principle by Gene Finnell, and the other one is just a variant of that old math trick everyone does (the one where four random cards are chosen and you use them to count up to 13, and at the end, the final card is the number of cards left…) That old trick goes all the way back to Modern Magic published in 1876!
Excelente rutina. Gracias.
Brilliant Sean... definitely going to use these (together)... many thanks...
Nice. Thanks Sean 😊
Love these self working tricks
Thanks for sharing ❤
Wow! impressive!
Fabulous performance and tutorial Sean, and Happy Father's day 😊 👍😊👍🙌👏🪄✨️
Right back at you, Robert!

Oh, interesting. Thank you for the info!
Thanks for sharing @Sean. In the second part, what if one of the card that you turn up is a Q - do you take it as 12 or 10?
Figured it out: it's 10 😊
Great routine, Sean! What are the names of these two tricks and do you have any credits/references for them? Thanks!

Wow! Thanks, Sean. Free Cut Principle…didn’t even recognize that. Just been learning about that recently. Thanks again!
Wow!
I just realized you are left handed. I am left handed and just starting, would you suggest to learn right handed or left handed?
Do what feels most comfortable!
