    Rupert makes it possible to experience timelessness in time, everything he says is from eternity straight into the cave of your heart, one is self-aware ; this is the greatest gift. Thank you so much Alan and Rupert for sharing what can not be divided. I am home... 🕉️🙏🌹And my love flows out of me to all people just like that. Effortless💕💞

    Thank you for making this meaningful editing of Truth spoken so clear, as Rupert does. And it's great how you find and combine the talks with relating questions. Taking the listener deeper and deeper into Truth 🙏🏼 I also find the music well chosen, helping to quiet the busy mind 😊

    Love what you're doing over here. I actually had an idea to do a Rupert video in this way before I come across this channel. I'll let you know if I ever create one :)

      Thanks. I make them for a small group meeting I hold in Rishikesh, India. Rupert is by far the clearest speaker on this subject, in my opinion.

      Excellent videos with Rupert. I have been listening for the past few days, your choice of music is perfect. Do you live in Rishikesh? In 2016 I attended Mooji's Satsangs. Rupert is one of the few people I listen to besides Mooji. Thanks Alan and keep this going, you are doing incredibly important work.

    Do you use subliminal alpha waves with your music to relax people and make people think it's a spiritual experience like many of the other phony teachers do?

    The music is beautiful but it distracts from hearing Ruperts voice in this TH-cam.

    • @alanneachell9092

      Yes, it sounds louder than my original audio

    • @alanneachell9092

      Daniele Roy Sorry guys. It's not so loud on my audio software.

    • @paulineashby184
      @paulineashby184 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not that it is loud, but by being attractive is competition for attention with Rupert's words.

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It seems to be personal preference. Some like the music and some are not so keen. I have a few compilations already made but afterwards I could try without the music. Thanks for the feedback. 💕

    The first 7 and a half minutes and the last 4 minutes is the timeless and glorious truth which all beings will ultimately discover, even those who are not yet searching for it 😇
    Awareness doesn't need to do anything to know itself. There's no need for practice, for meditation, for effort, no room for a path. See that and be free 🙏

    A dilemma with Rupert Spira's teaching focus on "are you aware" as a teaching method: AS pointed out by Michael James, being aware of beig aware IS NOT self enquiry

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fizywig. If being aware of being aware is 'done' knowingly then it is self inquiry. Awareness comes to know it's own qualities.

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      fizywig. If we look closely, we see that the only 'place' that inquiry can be done is from presence.

    • @fizywig
      @fizywig 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem with the method as I understand this problem , is that for the vast majority of egos not familiar with the meditative "state" and unpracticed in nondual contemplative practice (many persons who approached Ramana Maharshi for guidance were often deemed by Ramana to be at different levels of understanding and he would only recommend self enquiry to those he judged to be mature, others he would tell them to continue in their current practices such as going to temple etc. as a preliminary practice due to spiritual immaturity).Being aware of being aware will often merely turns their attention to the "I thought" and not the field of awareness which is described often in Advaita as " the heart". Ramana distinguished the heart from the I-thought as did Nisargadatta. So an intermediate stage in self enquiry may be to say in answer to the question, Who am I?, is I am the I-thought, and then to question, Well where did I come from? The answer to this question will then be more appropriate for many, and you can hear the bafflement by many listening to Rupert Spira as they struggle with his teaching method. Ultimately, its a taeching and learning issue, not an issue with the truth of Rupert's statemnts about awareness

      “Be aware of being conscious and seek the source of consciousness. That is all.” - Nisargadatta (I Am That). Good enough for this guy, good enough for me!

    Go from the verbal I Am to the non-verbal I Am, your Beingness and abide as that: the essence of Nisarga yoga (Nisargadatta Maharaj)

    How does one "turn one's attention back on itself"?

    • @alanneachell9092
      @alanneachell9092  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      munkymind. We can't! It's more like relaxing a previous effort. Rupert is making a concession to one who feels that they are an individual. Holding ourselves as an individual is the effort we relinquish.

      To begin it's best to close your eyes and try to be in a quiet as possible place and make your body as comfortable as possible. You can first focus on the sensations that are left and then sort of turn down the volume of the sensations. For me it feels like collapsing inwardly.
      Another thing that has worked for me is to imagine myself being a newborn baby, not knowing anything but the wonder of being myself. And then extend that feeling. It is not really a feeling but I don't know a better word. If you feel your heart stir like being in love then you're getting it 💞
