    You might want to use 2 bolts to secure the hub motor axle torque plate. Reason bring, accelerating and regen braking will rock the axle back and forth, over time the axle nut might loosen. Worst case scenario, is that the rocking motion will spread your dropouts apart.

So I think that should done in codsration with size. Great stuff. Every time I come on to utube I see different ways to build a electric bike. There are so many clever people on planet earth keep up the good work people who probably at this moment are designing eletric bikes. I wonder what one for a Kromag Puch Pinto 2 or Swinger 2 might look.... with a box containing all of the electronics, and cells, that's basically a pod styled like the original fuel tank, and maybe clamp mounted to the tube frame inside the step thru area, leaving the original tank in place, but using it as a storage area for gloves, goggles........ a few beers...make it weather-tight.....add a little salt water and ice........ 😄

    Cool stuff...A smart businessman would scan the custom parts in CAD or something,so they can be machined by the time you get tired of making them by hand(after twenty times or so,doing the exactly same thing again and again,you ll probably get my drift😁) But i get it,dude.. i am exactly the same way,and keep using my hands rather than using computers .Thats why i am pretty much broke🤔😁! But that oldskool look on modern electric powered bikes?GREAT STUFF...And it recycles old shit:always a sensible way of making new things....right? Like your vids,thanks for posting!! Best wishes,from the Netherlands!!.✌🤖🍹👏👏..keep up the good work!!

  • @momosworkshop
    @momosworkshop 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm building an electric moped myself and have some questions about your swingarm setup. If your pedal bracket is not attached to the swingarm, how does the chain stay aligned when the suspension is compressed? Wouldn't the chain lose tension when you go over bumps? I've been struggling with a swing amr design because I thought I had to integrate the crankset into the swing arm itself.

    • @therealracer135
      @therealracer135 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nearly every motorcycle has a similar setup as you can't usually place the drive sprocket colinear to the swing arm pivot.
      Otherwise you can try make a setup similar to what Cars and Cameras used for the rear (and front?) of their power wheels Bronco project, just with pedals on the ends of the shaft.
