Finally at least somebody uses the real benefit of motor wheels. Most of manufacturers put the transmission and other sheet which is complete nonsense when you build an electric vehicle. motorwheels are the future of an industry... Cheers!

Late to the party dude.... I built one with 2 x 10,000 Crystalyte hub motors over 10 years ago.... I still ride a 2 wheel drive ebike... but now the Rambo bike trailer has 2 x 1500 watt motors as well.... I used a Strong GT-S210 frame, Canadian tire used to sell them.... Samsung 40T cells 5s/13p 48V - 20 amp hours can discharge at 175 amps.... Daly BMS 35 amps per cell and I have 2 of those in my current ride, built on frame similar to Stealth Bomber, bike trailer carries another 60 amp hours built out of 18650 cells. Solar recharging... brake lights, headlights, turn signals....
I used to make leather goods and custom motorcycles. Now I am a mechanical engineer at a high end EV company. These builds are right up my alley. Thank you!
Looks like mid-state California foothills. Can't place it preciously... either on the coast or base of Sierra somewhere. But similar terrain, flora fauna... and tarantulas!
nice, I don't like the way you mounted the rear suspension though, the bar at the bottom of the swing arm will constantly try to snap off while under load leading to a catastrophic failure
yeah great build except for that rear swingarm. that bar at the bottom could've been stronger if he welded it on top, that way the shock would be pushing it instead of pulling against the welds, but even that wouldn't be really structurally sound. also the triangulation of the swingarm is all wrong. the shock mount should be at the top of the triangle in order to get the strength from that shape
@@sheanyquist copy the Kuberg Freerider swingarm but place the shock mount a bit lower. it's a structurally sound design. with your fab skills you could definitely do it.

I'm 76 and am about the most mechanically cursed person on the planet with soooooo many half finished various e bikes motorbikes motorcycles mt bikes trikes etc some even high end specialized and vintage but am no longer rich or lucky enough to find good honest people with the attitudes who do what they promise to do to fix just one up so I can have one working e bike to do my work which is a very dangerous but extremely worthy cause to help an abused Indian tribe get federally protected and their treaty restored and their lands returned to them. My wife helps me with a bunch of my projects also and it's always time well spent. I used 6 Nissan Leaf cells for my bike project, 48 volts

yeah great build except for that rear swingarm. that bar at the bottom could've been stronger if he welded it on top, that way the shock would be pushing it instead of pulling against the welds, but even that wouldn't be really structurally sound. also the triangulation of the swingarm is all wrong. the shock mount should be at the top of the triangle in order to get the strength from that shape
If I welded the shock on top, the shock would have been either sticking up through the seat into your butt or at a completely unusable angle.
