  • Well it is a chainsaw attachment that goes on an angle grinder. Seems like a sketch idea at best. You can find this attachment on Amazon and eBay.

I’ve still got my grandads tools from the 60’s. Black and decker drill with a circular saw, jigsaw and orbital sander attachment. Think there was a lathe as well but not sure what became of that. I’ve never used them. Excellent videos thanks.

Extra points for 'Objectivity'. At the start, it sounded like you were going to trash the saw, no matter what. But you came through in the end with a Truly 'Honest' appraisal. I've got 3 different chainsaws & have never been truly satisfied with the basic design. I saw a young Vietnamese (?) Lady using one with the 'greatest of ease' on You Tube and had to wonder. Probably not looking for one just yet, but you were kind enough to remind me that 'Quality' matters. Thanx, R.D. Allen

Lol the flip flops, the digging into the log with the saw to bind it, and then jerking your saw back after each finished cut...

I bought one of these a few years ago, never tried it so I'm giving it a go. Mine pictures the handle mounted on the other side so your hand is behind the "stop" guard. Maybe yours could be sturdier when mounted on the other side??? Idk

Is there much chances for brake the chain during its operation as the angle grinders motors work rpm is far higher than that of the chain intended to use. Usually have 9000rpm to 11000rpm right?. How would this match? There is no other safety features along with these kind of adaptors now coming most of the adaptors without oil tank and chain brake system. So these kind of adaptors not for professional purpose and can say extreme dangerous for use.

Nice video Randy! Looks like that chainsaw attachment lacks some safety features to prevent kickback to me. That handle and safety shield looks flimsy as all get out. I've seen too many guys get hurt using chainsaws so I do not want one. Nothing worse than having to rush a buddy to the Hospital ER for stitches. Been there, done that.

Handle is on the wrong side?
The beach style safety measures is nice to see to get that full tan on the legs, arms, hands and face when cutting in the bushes. I'm guessing he knows that skin does grow back and if he cuts his legs that it's only a 11.5 inch bar/chain that it shouldn't cut too deep to get to his femoral artery.

That thin plastic guard on the front is supposed to be a safety stopper. Of course, that's impossible on an angle grinder.

legit most people buy a chain saw which is actually meant for cutting trees. Angle grinders are meant for angle grinding not cutting trees down.

Why is a tree cutter's main objective to not cut off a 🦵 Limb 🦵 Lol. Maybe we need to work with electrical work & remember 110 will Hold you Close & love you to Death. Lifetime Marriage 220 will knock you if it doesn't like you Divorcing the marriage into the floor. 440 will divorce instantly and knock you in the floor and kill you. Now an Angle Grinder if it can grab you for a Hug will Grab you instantly tight Keep on Winding Tying the knot with matrimony tighter then you will burn up in love with the Motor. You get entanglement in it's web in a split second with an angle grinder in clothing. It becomes a spouse that jerks you in a knot. I've had a bad experience with stuff.
