!!IMPORTANT!! I did make a mistake in my explanation!!! The 22G is for injecting!! And the 18G for getting the substance out of the capsule!! Also, if you are not sure verify with your doctor! I am not an expert! Oh and if you are not seeing this part, I cut it out, because I felt like I was ging wrong information.
Lots of good advice, I've been on T for 16 years now. I use to inject into my thighs but switched to my butt or glutes AND I also have been doing it weekly instead of monthly. I changed to my glutes after perforating a tendon in my thigh. It will take some practice to use your glutes but I do not have any pain. Good luck in finding a less painful injection site.
Daan. I had to use T for a long time. Yes, the advise is good, draw the T out with 18G. To inject, I used a 25G (you can find them in the pharmacy). Yes, warm up the muscle area a bit, then inject. After the injection, with the palm of your hand, massage the injection area for a few minutes to work everything into your muscle. You should feel a lot less pain. Hope it works for you. Remember 25G to inject, I know this from a lot of experience.
I don't do the injections myself because I'm getting 1000mg every 14 weeks, but I feel like the most important thing is to inject very very slow. At least I felt less pain during and after the injecton when they injected it slower. Fo me that actually makes a huge difference. They also told me that I should not tense the muscle while they are injecting. That also reduced the pain a little bit. After the injection I stand up slowly and carefully. After that I walk a little bit (carefully and not too much), so I don't sit down immediatly.
what you're going through looks awful, I hope the shots get better for you in the future. I want to say that it's nice to see a video like this, where you talk about your experiences with the shots, since I also had a bad start with them and thought it was just something wrong with my body or me doing the shots completely wrong like an idiot... I do them in the glutes, never had the courage to do one in the thigh, but in the beginning the shots would cause a large and quite painful lump at the injection site, this has not happened in a while now. Could maybe be what you were saying in the beginning of the video about the muscle needing to get used to the injection. This is with 23G. Also one useful piece of advice I got, which I think is helpful, is to have the muscle relaxed and not strained/ flexed at all while giving the injection. good luck.
Sorry that you’re having so much trouble with your injections. I’m on a very low dose of 10mg weekly injections and I use a small insulin needle to pull and inject so I barely feel the needle but I’ve found that injecting in my left glute is much better than my right. In my right I do feel pain. Also, strangely enough I gave myself an injection and then went out for a hike in cold winter weather and I felt sooooo much pain. Not sure if it was the weather or too much movement but I could barely make it through the hike. But otherwise as long as I keep to my left booty cheek I’m fine but I’m on a low dose so I don’t think my opinion matters much 😂 On another note that loaf looked sooooo good 🍞
Yeah I feel like for me the right leg hurts less than the left. But it could also be the cold this time. And thank you the bread tested good as well 😄.
If you read in the testosterone bottle it says that it recommends injecting into the glute. Maybe try trying a different area for now? What about switching to subcutaneous shots?
The injections should not be that painful. You may be tensing up the muscle. You may be having anxiety over the needle stick. I used OraGel (for gum pain). It will numb the area, thus you will not tense up. I inject weekly in my backside. I shift my weight to the opposite leg and inject into the relaxed glute. I've gotten so good that I no longer need the numbing gel, and I literally don't even feel the injection. Injecting into your leg, you may be hitting a vein. Take care and best of luck!
Ik had pas geleden een gesprek met een specialist en die zei je ook kan injecteren in je buik . Ik zie sommige gasten dat ook doen . Misschien een minder pijnlijke optie ?
Dude it’s 18 to get the T out the vial and 22 to inject.. 18 is huge! You showed that you’re pulling the T out with 22 and injecting with 18. You are not doing all the right things.
@@Daan_Spieard you come on complaining bc it hurts so bad.. I tell you exactly what it’s hurting so bad and you don’t wanna believe me? You could be doing serious damage if you keep using the 18 to inject.
@@Daan_Spieard quote from Google Remember to use an 18-23 G with 1-1.5 inch needle to draw up the steroid into the syringe then switch the tip to an 21-25 G with 1-1.5 inch needle to inject …
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, it hurts! Maybe use a shorter needle? Mine were too long and I was hitting deep nerves. I couldn't walk a few different times after my injections, you're not alone. I also have connective tissue disease so once I damage something, it stays damaged for a long time before healing kinda sorta back to normal. I use 21G 3/4 inch (Yeah, I live in the US, we don't know how to use other measurement scales that make more sense 🤨) Another thing to keep in mind is to try to completely relax the target muscle before injection, if the muscle tight, it goes through more muscle fibers. Do not massage. Walking makes the site angrier OUCH! The cold air might have helped, until your leg warmed back up. I started just trying to do my outer glutes because I destroyed my legs trying to find a good spot that wouldn't hurt. It's hard to do, but it's less painful than the leg pain for me. That and I can't see back there very well, so I end up on the outer glutes (doctor showed me where to aim for) I hope you can figure out how to find a less painful spot, and thank you for sharing, I thought it was just me that had issues because I have bad aim 🤔🫣

Slowly injecting is a tip I got from the doctors office as well when I called yesterday. Thanks!
Looks like a couple of folks have already given great tips. I know nothing about it but I do know that the bread looked delicious.

@@Daan_Spieard yes, that also, slow & steady

I’ll ask next time if it’s possible to do it in a different way or place. The needle is correct, I checked and verified that. Thanks!

Ja, ga ik volgende keer ook even navragen. Hoewel in m'n been prettiger lijkt dan m'n buik op de één of andere manier. Thanks!

This is how it was shown to me. The 18 one is the right needle (and I did verify that again).
You use the big one 18 to get the T out of the bottle just bc it makes it easier to get out.. you inject with the smaller one 22-23.
@@Daan_Spieard you come on complaining bc it hurts so bad.. I tell you exactly what it’s hurting so bad and you don’t wanna believe me? You could be doing serious damage if you keep using the 18 to inject.
