Cardinals are a run first offense. 17 Games is a long season .When Connor went down last year the offense suffered. their defense is still a work in progress. Controlling the clock on offense could win them games. MHJ and Benson!
Trey is literally the best running back in the draft. Panthers messed up by taking Brooks over him and he was taken in the 3rd to go along with MH Jr? Cardinals did well offensively. Nothing to complain about.
Loved how Ossenfort embraced AZ new identity as a running team in the 3rd. He went Benson, run blocker guard, blocking TE, all physical maulers, and I'm all for it
james connor is 29 may 10th and 30 and 1/2 September 2025 before that season starts. james connor is amazing but trey benson is 21 and the best rb in the draft with 4.39 speed at 217lbs. to get him in the 3rd rd is a steal n amazing value.
I love this pick for The Cardinals. I'm a little anxious about his health and prior injuries but this was a solid pick and a great student for Connor to take under his wing. Go Cards!
It was a smart move Conner is getting older and in a contract year it make perfect sense to get another weapon to grow with Kyler ,Harrison Jr and McBride it sounds like I bright future to me instead of depending on veterans or has beens like keim would have
Why’d they pick Benson? Your last highlight gave the perfect reason. No, it wasn’t the pass catching ability, or your discussion of his ability to block & pick up the blitz, which is so important… instead a big reason AZ drafted him was actually the headline on the ESPN crawl at the bottom of the screen during that screen pass highlight - “James Conner out multiple weeks.” While Conner has clearly been a successful FA signing by AZ, his time is about up in the league, his injuries are stacking up & Kyler needs as many young, explosive weapons as possible.
Michael Carter will be used on some plays as a receiving back, Deejay is our return man on special teams, and Demercado will most likely be on the practice squad this year. Doesn't hurt to get the best rb in the draft, and fresh legs to take work loads off of Conner for a few plays

Trey Benson can learn a lot from John Conner. They are both big power backs who can catch and have some wiggle. Great pick!
Who is John Conner? This isn't Terminator.

@@tylermckinley1134i disagree. i think he can learn a ton from the terminator
Learn? He’s gonna take his job.

Worst rb in his division and one of the worst starting RBs in the NFC is amazing?! Naw bro
@@brandonderrick006he had a 1000 yard szn and averaged 5 yards a carry wtf are you talking about

he's patient. He reminds me of David Johnson (another Cardinal) when he was at his best
As a diehard Nole, you guys are going to love him in Arizona. Congrats on the nice late pickup.
hes a beast i was expecting him too go in the late 2nd rounder i saw him as the best RB i never expected my cardinals too land him

This guy is a beast, there are better plays on his tape that really show what he can do. I am not mad about this pick up at all.

Smart. Connor will miss time as he always does because of his style of play! We had no one behind him, now we do. I thank he will be heir apparent!
Heard a lot about Trey bensen, forgot about him honestly. Glad we snagged him
The cardinals have needed higher upside at rb for years, James is good but Benson adds that home run threat

6:00 read the ticker at the bottom of the screen. If that isn't irony, I don't know what is😂😂😂
don’t get me wrong I love benson but we already have Micheal carter and demercado and had deejay dallas. Just felt like a weird pick

Its a suprise move to no one but you lol.
Ehh for every good play there’s 5 bad reps, not a believer he’s gonna be one of those big play or negative play rbs
I would've finished the vid if you started out by saying that you know nothing about the cards.
He's actually one of the few film TH-camrs who ever talks about or watches the Cardinals on his channel.
His dude is on it with his videos about the cardinals or another team to be honest.
Was this your first visit???
Steal for the cardinals
