My philosophy for RB is when in doubt go with player on better team.
What about the year the top two were CEH & JT, I bet anyone who took CEH feels like a fool…. It’s me I’m anyone 😂🤡☹️
@youknowwhoiam6164 Yea I was one of them too lol. In hindsight though, we should have known Taylor was the better option CEH was a HUGE reach by the Chiefs. Imagine that offense with Taylor or Swift the past few years.

For Dynasty purposes, Brooks is the better prospect (with the assumption that he returns cleanly from his ACL). By late 24 and moving forward, Carolina wants him to be their 3-down back, and he has all the traits for that purpose. Opportunity matters more than raw speed. One thing that Brooks has is a consistent ability to move the chains. When you watch his carries, many of them go for first downs or touchdowns. That shows that he has an awareness of the field and can "get 'er done" when needed. Compare that to Benson--most of his tape is composed of "highlights" rather than workhorse play. Coaches cannot scheme for highlights, so those type of players never become full-time runners. Brooks will be a full-timer whether or not he hits all his highlights (especially under Coach Canales; compare his use of Rachaad White, a slow but steady workhorse).
I think Trey Benson is the better back. But Conner is kinda hard to unseat. But for dynasty I love Benson. He will be an elite RB one day. I promise!
2024 probably isn't Benson's year, but I believe 2025 will be!

Yea I've been sitting on this for a while but I'm gonna go ahead and pull the trigger with Benson at 1.09
Hopefully I can potentially trade down to 1.10 and 2.02 so I can get Benson and Coleman.
I just got him at 18th overall (2nd round) in my Dynasty league rookie draft. Couldn't believe he slipped that far down.
Brooks is worth watching his freshman and sophomore year limited opportunities-he was stuck behind Bijan and Roschon but still hit all his high efficiency marks. He’s not fast but not slow at all, there’s value to being a decisive runner and making faster decisions-in that skill he clears Benson.
If you’re a rebuilder team on a 2-3 year rebuild (picked up an orphan team), is Brooks a sell? If so, what would you want back? A 2025 late first? Early second?
I’m in a 10 team superflex ppr. I have picks 1.03, 1.08, 2.02, 2.07, 4.06, and the 5.04.
I have a solid wide receiver core with Drake London, Tank Dell, JSN, Michael Wilson, Rashee Rice, and Jordan Addison.
My TEs are Cole Kmet, Kyle Pitts, and Michael Mayer.
My qbs are Kyler, Herbert, and Mahomes in a 3 qb cap. I’m considering taking a shot on either Malik Nabers or a Daniels with the 1.03.
I have been considering Brian Thomas Jr or Bowers with the 1.08, but I’ve also thought about Brooks there and then taking Benson at the 2.02. Would you recommend taking a shot on both RBs if available or taking one rb and taking another next year in a stronger rb class? I hold 2 1st next year and in 2026.
I would use all those picks to trade up for MHJ and take one of Brooks or Benson with your next highest pick and take another RB next year with those firsts you have
I don’t think you need Daniel’s. I’d take Nabers because you could use another WR tbh. Your QBs are set.

1.08 id try to trade out if if not BPA if you could trade back 1.10-1.11 and weigh your options between Brooks, McConkey, BTJ, Keon Coleman. I’d take McConkey but I like Keon Coleman ALOT so 2.02 would be ideal for me to take Benson if it were me because I’m in a similar situation
I have 1.01 1.04 1.11 2.01 & 2.03
I’m going MHJ #1 JD5 #4 because I think Nabers is off the board at #3 but if he falls I’ll take em at 4.
1.11 will be McConkey or Coleman but there’s something special about Coleman man idk I might have to take em.
I’m contemplating Legette or Benson at 2.01 with AD Mitchell in the mix as well.
At 2.03 I think I’m gonna take a stab at Polk for NE
@@mattlewis574 the guy that has the 1.01 refuses to trade it. He is set on MHJ. I offered Addison and 2 firsts for him before Kirk Cousins left and he still refused
@@smercxz thank you. From what it sounds like, MHJ is going 1.01 and Nabers might be going 1.02. I traded back from the 1.02 to the 1.03 because I wanted Nabers and the guy that took the 1.02 made it seem like he wanted Caleb. I hate Caleb and think he will be a bust. I think Daniels will be the best fantasy qb in the draft.
@@chasebeal-sharp383 I agree with that. I have JD5 slated to finish as a top 10 fantasy qb as a rookie. The passing plus the rushing man it’s just too good to pass on. Can’t wait to draft em !
Brooks put up more effective #'s at every level. Other than the speed and the torn ACL- where's the comparison even here?
Brooks if by far the better runner and pass catcher. Any amount of film tells you this.
And Dave Canales is great with RBs
But an ACL tear the one year he was giving a full workload isn’t worrisome to you guys, genuinely curious I don’t know much about either of these guys
@@youknowwhoiam6164 I agree but ACL tears are really minor compared to several years ago, especially in young men. Panthers will ease Brooks in but he could easily be elite once he gets the chance. Same goes for Benson really but Conner has to get his corpse out the way first.
Exactly… this shouldn’t even be a serious debate. The real question is which of this rookie Wr’s are you willing to bypass for Benson at the beginning of the 2nd

Jonathan Brooks: It's almost as if people are ignoring he tore his ACL last year. I like Brooks, but more for 2025 than 2024. Some will say that upside shows itself in the last half of 2024, but I'm not so sure. Do you actually think that is guaranteed?
Im happy benson fell to me at 2.1 and marvin was my 1.1 … I rather have benson by a mile … panthers are just not going to maintain possesions imo

My same concern for Brooks. Took Benson when I had the choice on draft day.
Benson is garbage. Watch how he runs. He doesn't even fit the style that the Cardinals run.

This really shouldn’t be a debate and the over thinking is going to make people make dumb choices. No way in hades should you be taking Benson ahead of Brooks let alone the 1st round.
Brooks is clearly the better back and in a better situation with a team with a revamped Oline and a coach who wants to pound the rock.
