Tried both the Averna and the Cynar recipes, and I think the Averna one wins by a smidge. They're excellent lattes. I stole the Branca Menta idea and used .5oz Branca Menta, .5oz Creme de Menthe, .5oz Kahlua Mint Mocha, and 1.5oz milk (honey syrup probably not needed in this one) . It was minty latte perfection. Thanks and cheers, Pete!
I've been meaning to make one of these, thanks for the reminder! I'll probably try something with Amaro Braulio since it's my favorite and is 21% ABV. Maybe chocolate or coffee liqueur with it? Also I'm going to try on a stovetop with a hand milk frother to see if I can avoid cooking the milk.
After the update to the template did you change the chocolate milk/Cynar/nocino/simple syrup version to match the template, or did you leave it as it was? That used a half ounce of liqueur and simple syrup instead of honey syrup, if I recall. Some nocino has made its way into my house for the winter (advanced squirrels?) and wants to do its part.
i haven’t re-tried the chocolate milk, but I would stick with honey over simple. And the 1/4 is liqueur seems to work well. So I would match the template! Let me know how it goes!
Ooo, new amaro alert! FYI the Fred Jerbis fernet is 34% so I might try it with that and see. I prefer almost any other Fernet to Branca personally, so that's fine by me. 😄But I was sad to find that the Townshend's Fernet is 40% as that's one of my very favorites.
I had Townsends years ago, I remember it being good. I always meant to do a big fernet round-up, but there are so many now, I don't know if I can deal with it. Let me kow how Fred Jerbis latte is!
@@UnclePete Jerbis Fernet worked, it worked really well! Frothy as heck. Herbal, minty-menthol-y, bitter-sweet. Pretty tasty! So if you want fernet in an Amaro Latte it's worth a buy.
Thanks for the shout, Pete! 🤩
I’m a total convert and will preach the Amaro Latte gospel from the mountain top until everyone has tried it. 😂
Cheers!
Thanks buddy, we will get the word out eventually!
Who doesn't love this? I've even made them microwaving milk and using a cheap little hand frother. (Almost) always delicious and always fun.
Amen brother!
Cozy warm winter drink? Count me in!
I DO count you in!

Fantastic! The 'classic' ones are really good, and your minty variant sounds super minty! a great holiday treat!
Pete, this looks really good. I will have to try it.
You should!
Some rules!

Just got back from where we were for Christmas and whipped up a Cynar latte! (Sub giffards crème de cacao)
Nice!!! I know I can count on my most loyal viewers!

good plan! Either chocolate or coffee will go great with brailio, and that method SHOULD work!
