Unfortunately, it works better on TH-cam. I just tried to install mine and the openings that fit around the exhaust tips have not been cut properly. The filler panel will not fit flush on the left side, so the LED light portion hangs down. Also, I cannot match up the left bolt hole on the filler panel with the exhaust tip assembly.

Don't think I'd be cutting the wires in two. Why not use t-tap connectors...Don't have to cut anything.

We rarely use them because they can cause problems long term. Sometimes the connections will corrode and they can even splice incorrectly. We'd rather show you the most reliable connection outside of actually soldering the wires together. T-taps are convenient but not 100% reliable in all situations.

hot exhaust and sticky tape, that wont hold long.

Thanks for your comment. That tape is actually 3M adhesive. It stands up to exhaust and engine heat without any issues.
