I loved this video. I'm not really a morning person so I'm enjoying YOU being up early. I had a stroke earlier this year and have been recuperating. Helping me to recuperate was a young MALE Cardinal. He came up on my back porch every day to play with some pot lids that I got from my Dad's house. He kept coming all Spring and into early summer. When he wasn't playing with the lids he was at my car side mirror. I hope he comes back when it starts to cool off. It looked like he had another young male in "training". I am also one of those "Nutty" people that goes out with a cup of worms to feed my little Green Lizards. A person can make almost any animal a pet. ANYWAY back to your video, I love your dresses and of course they need pockets. How else are you gonna carry around what you need. I have enjoyed watching your videos while in recuperation. I have had a terrible time understanding the whole "paper piecing" thing. Really just could not understand the process. I wanted to do a Crazy Quilt and I understand that it needs to be done as "foundation piecing". Still trying to get it down. Thanks for all the videos !!!!!

I’m sitting on the sofa finishing a tatted cross bookmark for a friend. She took a few tatting classes from me but she’s had a setback and I haven’t seen her in a while. Wishing her well and better health. This is a nice thing to put in a card and send in the mail. Happy birthday John. I recently got a kitty that needed a new home, from a friend. We’re still getting to know each other but she’s doing fine. Her name is Emma.

Kate … I found your channel a while ago, not long after I lost my husband. Instead of feeling lonely all the time, I have enjoyed squeezing onto the lime green sofa and listening. Your little videos are a breath of calm in an otherwise pretty full on world. I love that you appreciate the little things and love being creative. It’s given me the helping hand I need to do likewise. I made a baby quilt last week, for a good friend who is becoming a Grandma soon and am now hand stitching a ‘quilt as you go’ quilt for myself now, using Kaffe fabrics and Daisy & Grace diamond templates. You’d love it … bright pink red and orange 😊. Anyway, thanks again Kate. I’ll bring some gluten and dairy free goodies for the intolerant ones amongst us on the sofa. The compost place cought fire and the smoke was unbelievable. Fire brigade everywhere. I hope it cools down soon. We really need rain. Today I am finishing my Harry Potter House Cardigan, which I have knitted in my very own colours. The pattern is from the book: Harry Potter Knitting Magic Vol.I. I love that book and I have made the Timeturner Sweater as well as the Buckbeak Sweater from this book. I also am crocheting a scrap blanket, making granny squares as well as other crochet stitches. Of course I am also sewing something. I am working on dungerees and some new pillow cases for my princess bed. And I am painting the doors in my cottage in a berry colour. I love watching your colourful, imaginative quilting skills and your loving interactions with your family. I bet you couldn't imagine that someone, (me!) would be watching you from my home on the lovely little Caribbean island of Anguilla! It's a lovely, friendly place, only 16 miles long and 5 miles wlde at its widest! The highest point is only 200 ft above sea level! There are approx16,000 lovely inhabitants and I am so lucky that I met one of them in England 56 years ago and we fell in love and married. Half our life together was in the Ascot area of England, but we've been here since 1994 and I love it. There is one golden beach and 32 other gleaming, white beaches! Millionaires and celebrities visit and have holiday homes here..... But thank you so much for sharing you enthusiasm for life, your creativity and your caring nature with others so joyously with your subscribers. (Including me, too, now!)👏❤️

I have been making cloths for myself and five children all their lives. They are all grown up and doing well on their own. They laugh at the things I used to make them wear when they were little. Now they sew including my two boys. Two of my girls are sewers and quilters. One doesn't sew at all. I love what they create. We have sewn together at my house because I have the fabric. Our last project was making bags for the beach.

How wonderful to have found you. You are my kind of people, and creating is my life. I need pockets in everything I wear, and I, too, sew pockets on anything if there is not one!! I would love to garden as you do, but my body will not let me wander too far in the yard. Getting down on the ground is difficult. I have many pots, large and small, that I plant, and I enjoy taking care of them outside. Before moving to a small town in Kansas, USA, I lived in Wichita Ks., a large city. I had a wonderful large home on over an acre. My husband and I made little peace rooms around the back garden with flowers, benches, trees, etc. It was lovely. He passed away 21 years ago at the age of 59. As you have done, I kept the garden as long as possible and then hired people to help. I stayed there for 30 years, and then my daughter asked me to come to live in her town, so I would be closer. I have my own home here in McPherson Ks. and have thought about having someone redo the back garden into a small area of peace. The garden area is small enough for me to manage, and the best thing is no one can see me get up and down with my stool. LOL. I am sure it is quite a site with my butt in the air as I struggle to stand up. You are a tremendous inspiration to me. I love to quilt, cross-stitch, and make beautiful things. Kate … I found your channel a while ago, not long after I lost my husband. Instead of feeling lonely all the time, I have enjoyed squeezing onto the lime green sofa and listening. Your little videos are a breath of calm in an otherwise pretty full on world. I love that you appreciate the little things and love being creative. It’s given me the helping hand I need to do likewise. I made a baby quilt last week, for a good friend who is becoming a Grandma soon and am now hand stitching a ‘quilt as you go’ quilt for myself now, using Kaffe fabrics and Daisy & Grace diamond templates. You’d love it … bright pink red and orange 😊. Anyway, thanks again Kate. I’ll bring some gluten and dairy free goodies for the intolerant ones amongst us on the sofa. We also have been having a heat wave here in Germany. For the last 4-5 weeks it was extremely hot and almost no rain. Today we had a fire nearby. The compost place cought fire and the smoke was unbelievable. Fire brigade everywhere. I hope it cools down soon. We really need rain.
Today I am finishing my Harry Potter House Cardigan, which I have knitted in my very own colours. The pattern is from the book: Harry Potter Knitting Magic Vol.I. I love that book and I have made the Timeturner Sweater as well as the Buckbeak Sweater from this book. I also am crocheting a scrap blanket, making granny squares as well as other crochet stitches. Of course I am also sewing something. I am working on dungerees and some new pillow cases for my princess bed. And I am painting the doors in my cottage in a berry colour. I am so inspired by the beautiful colours of your house Kate.

I love watching your colourful, imaginative quilting skills and your loving interactions with your family. I bet you couldn't imagine that someone, (me!) would be watching you from my home on the lovely little Caribbean island of Anguilla! It's a lovely, friendly place, only 16 miles long and 5 miles wlde at its widest! The highest point is only 200 ft above sea level! There are approx16,000 lovely inhabitants and I am so lucky that I met one of them in England 56 years ago and we fell in love and married. Half our life together was in the Ascot area of England, but we've been here since 1994 and I love it. There is one golden beach and 32 other gleaming, white beaches! Millionaires and celebrities visit and have holiday homes here..... But thank you so much for sharing you enthusiasm for life, your creativity and your caring nature with others so joyously with your subscribers. (Including me, too, now!)👏❤️

I have been making cloths for myself and five children all their lives. They are all grown up and doing well on their own. They laugh at the things I used to make them wear when they were little. Now they sew including my two boys. Two of my girls are sewers and quilters. One doesn't sew at all. I love what they create. We have sewn together at my house because I have the fabric. Our last project was making bags for the beach.

How wonderful to have found you. You are my kind of people, and creating is my life. I need pockets in everything I wear, and I, too, sew pockets on anything if there is not one!! I would love to garden as you do, but my body will not let me wander too far in the yard. Getting down on the ground is difficult. I have many pots, large and small, that I plant, and I enjoy taking care of them outside. Before moving to a small town in Kansas, USA, I lived in Wichita Ks., a large city. I had a wonderful large home on over an acre. My husband and I made little peace rooms around the back garden with flowers, benches, trees, etc. It was lovely. He passed away 21 years ago at the age of 59. As you have done, I kept the garden as long as possible and then hired people to help. I stayed there for 30 years, and then my daughter asked me to come to live in her town, so I would be closer. I have my own home here in McPherson Ks. and have thought about having someone redo the back garden into a small area of peace. The garden area is small enough for me to manage, and the best thing is no one can see me get up and down with my stool. LOL. I am sure it is quite a site with my butt in the air as I struggle to stand up.
You are a tremendous inspiration to me. I love to quilt, cross-stitch, and make beautiful things. I do not know how to knit, but I can crochet.
