Those 'static' type blips of interference -- I'm not sure they are intended. They could be glitches, because in one of MB14's battles with another beatboxer, the sound totally died, prompting the host to get the tech guys out to check the system and restart the battle to give MB14 a fair chance. Also, in Gangstas Paradise performance in such as Berlin showcase, he added 3 or 4 harmonies of a very electronic-sounding synth type sound with his voice which made that version sound even more FIRE than the version in La Cup Also if you want to see a true reggae version of a song by mb14, check out 'Alone in the Dark' that he also did on the Berlin showcase
He doesn’t manipulate….he also doesn’t use foot pedals, nor headphones. He has perfect pitch and total recall. He’s also been training for years; beatboxing at first around 10-11 y.o., choir, operatic lessons….lots and lots of work!
the only effects he uses are reverb and bass enhancement. he doesn’t use a harmonizer, you can see him build all of his harmonies layer by layer. i don’t get skipping over the third song, if we’re coming to see you react to this i don’t think anyone would mind you nodding along, it’s better than skipping. it’s some of the best harmonies from this showcase.
