Correction: There is more than one way to kill soders below mastery level 20. You can poison the stem cells with rat poison and then you install lethal stem cells. You can headshot him for a challenge and of course reveal yourself as 47. You also get more xp for killing him after destroying the heart or destroying the heart after killing him in another way. Apart from that, good job!
Poisoning the stem cells could work if you get the scrambler from the security room ,but it will take too long to be considered an optimal route, the headshot and reveal yourself will lose you silent assassin so they can't be counted as actual possibility's. @@wildgold You can also access the stem cell room if you drain the stem cells in the side room - a nurse comes over and then heads down to collect more stem cells. Can use her body to then unlock the door, poison/grab the stem cells and go back to replace them.
@@wildgold why do you consider only SA runs viable? Just curious. I get that it's optimal for exp and such, but quickly running a level to finish one of those other specific challenges that compromises the SA rating can net you exp quickly. You can always do the mission again and go for SA.

The reason I only consider SA runs is because then It gives it a fair window of what Is optimal and what isn't, because everyone is doing it SA, without the SA rating being considered everything just becomes chaos...
@@wildgold well I can understand your reasoning for SA providing a good metric for what is considered a good or optimal run. I think I just play this game a little differently. I play it as if I’m in a movie or something. So sometimes I’ll want a completely silent and stealthy approach then other times I’ll want to go all in and not worry I’m spotted or if bodies are found as long as it feels like I’m a badass just walking in and killing his targets without a care. Obvious SA was the way the game was MEANT to be played so my question was pretty dumb lol
If u dont have lvl 20 mastery, you can go to the main floor security room and open the shelf behind the camera's control panel using a crowbar or a lockpick. You'll find a hacking device which can be used to open the freezer where the Interpol agent is. If u listen to the whole dialogue he will give you a master electronic chip and you'll be able to acces every part of the map without changing disguise

Personally this map is one of my favourites. Yeah it has its issues but I personally mainly play on professional and don’t often use SA/SO. It’s a fun map to explore and mess around on and the setting is by far my favourite out of the recent trilogy. It’s one of my favourite maps for when I want to sit back and just have fun. It was definitely the highlight of 2016 and with each game coming out I think it’s gotten more and more accessible and fun to play. The mission stories are all pretty cool and the kills you can get with them are some of the best. Plus having the patient zero and winter festival makes it one of the maps with the most variants. Personally it’s definitely my favourite out of 2016 and definitely my favourite in terms of setting throughout the trilogy.
I’m pretty new but I just completed it SA/SO while bringing nothing. I destroyed the heart and then waited in the sauna maintenance room. I used the fire alarm to get the two dudes in the sauna and just lured her into that maintenance room after heating it up
There's a very useful easter egg in Hokkaido. If you bring a card hacker and go into the morgue on the end by the room with the organs, and notably the Soders heart, there's a place for your card, and if you open it you get a conversation with a Hitman series staple character in his Starr Spangled Boxers, he has a lore dump and then gives you an all access RFID tag. This is gives you full suit only access. I think the guy who has the mood chip has the regular keycard for it IIRC.
Fair review but on a lot of the challenges where you said you needed a contract you could have used the snow festival because that guy is very easy to kill. I think that it was a little hard on how little you can do before level 20 because its made to let you master the level during that time and I had a lot of fun doing the challenges to get to level 20. loved the video
The reason for all the armed guards roaming the halls is the same reason you are there. Yuki and her entourage of armed guards are aware that Soders is a top-level ICA assassin, and that, in order to get a right-sided donor heart, he sold out the ICA's secrets. The bodyguards are basically experienced yakuza goons to my knowledge and have the hospital on lockdown and strict surveillance to make sure Soders doesn't get caught with his pants down mid-surgery by the ICA. edit: another thought, as a casual player that enjoys silent assassin without the pain of suit only, the creative idea of having outfits unlocking certain doors is an amazing way to shake up the level design and can be fun to counteract with the OP director's outfit (funny how he has a wig lol.) and agent smith's RFID card. Always fun seeing agent smith coming back in these levels.
Everybody mentioning that the reason that a bunch of guards are there is because of Eric soders the actual reason is because it's the last level and they need it to be hard
You can also get a Key Card From Agent Smith if im correct but you also need a keycard lock for that, or you open a safe with the crowbar and take the key lock, out of it
The reason there are so many guards is that Soders is a turncoat under protection of Providence. So you're ignoring the story details and to suit only before level 20 you just need to start in the morgue, have pickup of the key card hacker and get the master key from Smith. I never had an issue before Hitman 2 even came out with this map.
Yeah, and he didn't even consider how different characters have their own story which can be used to kill the targets, like the chief surgeon is so well implemented, there are so many ways to kill soders using the hospital technology, also the sabotaging of KAI is so good. Its references to 2001 a space oddyssey are phenomenal.
To get Soders below Lvl 20, you can sneak into the kitchen, make Fugu poison, go into the the room next to the operating theatre, drain the stem cells, let the surgeon go into the stem cell room, knock her out, and poison them. It is a long process, but it works. You can also snuggle in a scrambler and and get the master RFID chip from Agent Smith.
7:37 actually I did the one Last Mr. Soders on SA/SO on normal mode once, it's so hard because u need to clear the rooms up floor where the doctors are watching the surgery from above and it took me 1 hour to lure them down one by one without getting spotted
Fr on miami its good since it's only on your first playthrough but Hokkaido needs you to basically complete almost every challenge before you can actually do anything you want
It was good but you sort of forgot about smuggled items, like you can do the explosive strategy on soders by just smuggling it in, or even just smuggle in coins, and when yuki goes into her room, place a coin on the toilet and tamper with the toilet control panel, easy drowning kill
I actually did my SA/SO run while on mastery level 15. You need to smuggle a gun into the morgue, shoot the heart. Then find a wrench on the lower levels, sabotage the sauna, and lock Yamasaki there.
I absolutely love this map. I have also killed eric soders almost every way suit only. I love this map in all variations, except patient zero. but all the ETs, the snow festival, and on freelancer, I enjoy my time in Hokkaido every time. I only have 2 major pet peeves, that are in most Hitman maps. There are only four rooms, and the fact there is no easy way to wheel in a dead body to the morgue. and the unloading zone to the morgue not only has stairs, but you would go through a security room. also, there isn't a reception desk. what hospital doesnt have a reception desk?
lol this is my first map where I finished sa/so and this was ultra easy, what do you mean by "impossible"? An ultra easy map. The idea with the chips in people's clothes is awesome. You can get from any point of the map to any other point of the map without even changing your clothes and unnoticed, and by different routes. You just didn't learn the map. And I see you all kill soders by some explosive glitch. Well just go to the garden, slip in the doctor's room by a drainpipe and take the mood switch there, then go to the morgue, activate the switch there, make a surgeon to go to the heart room and tell the guards there to leave. Pacify another surgeon that stood near the mooded one, drag him to the door of the heart room, enter the room and pacify the other surgeon. Just destroy the heart, hide the two surgeons and leave. No glitch needed, sa/so

There is a scrambler keycard in the security office. I use that crowbar near the pilot’s drug stash to free agent smith and get access to any where I want. That’s how I get silence assassin below level 20.
Good call! You could do that, but the problem is it does take a long time to do, you basically have to run back and forth quite a bit. And also you have to wait in front of the security room for someone to enter or exit because both doors are locked ,but it is a strategy you can use to get a challenge or two suit only. However it's not optimal in my opinion when it comes to a creating a route because it just takes too much time.
yeah if you manage to get the one disposable scrambler that’s what you should spend it on; the issue with that, though, is the morgue is hidden behind more keycard scanners.
Get the crowbar in the nail's drug place, then get to the security room and there would be a cabinet where a disposable scrambler is with the scrambler you can get to the morgue where there would be a locked door, when you open it with your scrambler you can get the all acces keycard
I think zou made a mistake when talking about the Cottonmouth challage since I just did it with Yuki. Whilst wearing the Biker Disguise you dont even take damage in the Sauna when its too hot.
I am not level 20 but I killed Eric with poisoning the steam cells I used the fugu poison and right disguises. But if you want suit only it's going to be hard...
The keylock to the keycard that you need to unlock keylock is behind door that are locked by keylock which you cant open without keycard😂😂😂 you are god bro
I have a completely different experience with this map, maybe it's because i play proffessional but i have about 50% completion on this map and hit lvl 20 mastery like a couply of hours ago. There's tons of ways to kill soders, if you follow the mission stories and build from there

i feel like hokaido was purposely made a bit bullshitty and difficult it is ment to be the final map after all and coming up with a SA/SO route for hokkaido by myself was one of the most satisfying parts of hitman for me

Wow now you have an elite guard disguise and a gun and all bodies are hidden. In the first minute of the game. Nothing hard. and if you play with loadout, just take a hacker key with you. Free the american pants guy in the morgue and he will give you the card that opens all doors for you even if you have your standard disguise. Nothing hard. Though I see absolutely no reasons for it because the elite guard disguise is always enough
imo it’s a very overrated map. Sure it looks great. But it’s very limited what you can do. Not enough chances for accident kills. That top level hospital area doing SASO is a fucking joke.
